I just read your post about Hillary with a “suthren accent”...LOL
It made a big difference...she sounded so...so...
SINCERE...yeah, that’s the ticket.

You’ve hit the nail on the head. Most of us watch Idol to get away from the troubles of the world for a couple of short hours each week. We are an overly generous nation, and already give billions in foreign aid to Africa, only to have it ripped off by greedy and tyrannical leaders like the late Idi Amin.
If Idol is going to shovel this particular kind of BS every season, then this is the last season I will be watching.

I can’t watch House anymore. It is the most depressing show on TV (except any show featuring Celine Dion).

Tonight’s show sure was depressing, however I generally like the show. I do find myserlf wondering how these so called super gifted docs missed the fact that the girls had a staph infection.

Oh jeez. The first thing I heard of when I heard that new Mayer song was, “Waiting for change?!” What a mess of a anthem for passivity!! You want change, John - DO something!

I agree with you. I like giving to charity. I’m extremely thankful that I have money I can just give away. I am by no means rich, nor am I living some extragant lifestyle. But I am thankful that I’ve got a job, a home, and more then enough food in the kitchen. I’m doing better then a lot of people.
BUT, I don’t like being manipulated into giving.

BTW...I wonder if Rudy were to enter American Idol...would we be able to keep this thread???
I'm sure the Smoky Backroom has a bouncer at the door and your name has just been added on "the list" for asking that. But it's OK...I've been on it for months now. ;)

I'm all a-twitter.LOL!
Hi Jonny. I just got home and jumped online to catch the thread. Thanks for the ping.
For those wondering why the judges pimp for Chris, here's the answer. He's a Justin Timberlake clone, so the AI powers think he's commercial. Not good, necessarily, but commercial.
If you want to hear a sample of a commercially successful white male singer in today's musical world, go here: Justin Timberlake's MySpace page. Click any of the song clips in the upper right of the screen. (Be sure to click the play button on the player.) These folks call themselves artists, but what they make is not art as I understand that term.

I never had patience for that thing. I just smeared his magnet "hair" all over his face and threw it in the corner :)LOL!! I always just ignored the face underneath and made my own designs. It was such a boring toy. It was like an early crappy Etch-A-Sketch. Actually, I wasn't very good with the Etch-A-Sketch either. I always had some grand design in mind, but everything just ended up looking like stairs.

Do you think they made them say all that kumbaya stuff in their openings? They are under contract to 19 Entertainment, which is the production company behind AI. So the answer is yes, although I'm sure some of them really are little budding Leftists anyway.
