I’m looking at a picture & I still don’t remember her. Got a feeling that most embarrassing moment is about to change.

Did you see what her favorite song was?
“It Is Well Worth My Soul”.
Yikes. Did she make a deal with the devil or something?
It did seem kind of...odd.
Darn it!!! I forgot he was gonna be on Leno last night and I missed it! I hope it’s on YouTube.

I am Phil Staceys father-in-law. Phil is a Top 7 finalist on American Idol. He is a devout Christian, family man, Navy vocalist, Christian songwriter, and a worship leader in his local church. We are asking all the Christian radio stations we can, to help air some of Phils music and encourage their listeners to support Phil. He has a great heart for God. Howard Stern, infamous shock jock has publicly vowed to use his programs influence to get Phil off of American Idol. We need your help for Phil to continue to move up in the rankings, where he can have a great influence for the cause of Christ in the entertainment world. Hundreds of Christian stations began playing this high quality song of Phils last week, and encouraging viewers to support him on American Idol. More stations are joining in each day! I also have other Christian songs of Phils available for air play if you are interested in looking at them. Many of your listeners will truly enjoy hearing some of Phils Christian music on your stations. Thanks for your consideration and help!

Idol contestant’s future on line tonight
The Norman Transcript
Transcript Staff Writer
Pastor Mark McIntosh needs as many people as possible to spend exactly two hours on the phone.
His hope is that with each person that agrees to “power vote,” his son-in-law will be safe from the bottom three and make it to the Top 6 on American Idol.
That’s right, McIntosh’s son-in-law Phil Stacey is an American Idol finalist.
A former resident of Norman, Phil Stacey first got national attention when he missed his daughter’s birth while he was auditioning for American Idol. Since then he has made it through the original audition, Hollywood and to the Top 12.
However, four out of the five weeks since making the Top 12, Phil has been in the bottom three, the group of contestants in danger of going home each Wednesday.
But that’s okay because Phil Stacey and his family are only concerned about one thing.
“Our goal is the Top 6,” McIntosh said. “That seems to be the premium group and I really believe he’s going to make it.”
A lot of little things are giving McIntosh this confidence. For one, the family recently heard that some of Phil’s music is making it to the radio.
“He’s produced several CDs of Christian music (in the past), and we found out one of his songs got out to quite a few Christian stations last week,” McIntosh said.
Another thing that makes McIntosh confident in Phil’s likelihood of making it to the Top 6 is how easy it is to produce the votes needed.
Since Phil has been on the show, his father-in-law has been trying to each week recruit 2,000 new people to help “power vote for Phil.” By power vote, McIntosh means setting aside the full two hours allowed to vote. For each person that does this approximately 500 to 600 votes are produced, he said.
For every 2,000 that equals 1 million votes for Phil Stacey.
McIntosh, who is the pastor of Evangelistic Center Church in Shawnee, already has a lot of people on board. He sends out weekly e-mails to those who have committed to be official power voters, asking them to forward the e-mail to their friends and family. Recently McIntosh was at Riverside Church in Norman, where he used to be on staff, and where Phil and his wife attended until 2003.
And McIntosh’s plug isn’t just for son-in-law, but also “an appeal to help us spread the gospel.” He said Phil has said he wants to help McIntosh in his ministry, “using his influence and prosperity to help me win hundreds of thousands more people to Christ.”
“Phil doesn’t have to win the competition to have a huge influence for Christ,” McIntosh said. “He just needs to be in the Top 6. Once there, he will gain enormous doors in the recording industry and ensure himself a major recording contract in the future.”
But even if you’re not a Christian, McIntosh has reasons for you to vote for Phil this week, and maybe the weeks after.
“Phil is a quality person with a heart of integrity; a family man with a beautiful wife (my daughter Kendra) and two children (Chloe and McKayla); ... and a patriotic American, currently serving as a vocalist for the United States Navy,” McIntosh wrote in the most recent of e-mails.
Let’s not forget that he is a good singer who has every one of his coaches on American Idol saying great things about him and his singing, McIntosh adds.
American Idol airs Tuesday nights at 7 p.m. on the FOX network. Today the theme is country, with Martina McBride mentoring the contestants.
Viewers have two full hours following the end of the show to vote for contestants. Immediately following each performance, a telephone number will appear to match the contestant. For your votes to go to Phil, one must call his specific number. Those with Cingular or AT—T can text message votes.
McIntosh has three important reminders and tips for those who are willing to “power vote” for his son-in-law:
All calls are free. Even though it is an 866 number, it works exactly like an 800 number.
Vote repeatedly for the whole two hours. “Use the redial on your phone to call more quickly after each call,” McIntosh said.
Hang up once you hear the automated voice thanking you for voting.”You can get in twice as many calls if you hang up and redial once you hear the guy come on,” he said.
McIntosh also suggests that people use both their cell phones and land lines. “I’ve had one person at my church get in about 800 votes last week,” he said; every vote you send it counts.
“Phil was in the bottom two last week,” McIntosh said. “... which means his ‘head is on the chopping block’ this week. So he really needs our help.”
Last year, Idol contestant Bucky Covington missed making the Top 7 by only 80 votes. McIntosh doesn’t want something like that to happen to Phil, who is just one week away from being in the Top 6.
“We just need people to step up and vote,” he said. “We’re real proud of Phil and we’re asking for Norman’s help.”

Simon Cowell Storms British Rich List 4/21/07
http://www.celebrityspider.com/news/april07/article041907-31.html
Music mogul Simon Cowell has shot up Britain’s Rich List after earning #40 million ($78 million) from last year (06) alone.
The X Factor and American Idol judge - whose bank balance now stands at #100 million ($195 million) - stormed from last year’s 944th place to 700 in the Sunday Times’s annual list.
Cowell even beat troubled singing sensation Robbie Williams whose #95 million ($185 million) wealth left him trailing behind at 755th place.
Despite his prosperous year, Cowell still can’t compete with the highest earning entertainer - former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney whose colossal #725 million ($1.4 billion) fortune places him 102nd in the list.
American Idol Duet Rumors Include Celine Dion, Elvis Presley, & Michael Jackson
http://www.realitytvmagazine.com/blog/2007/04/american_idol_d.html
Who will be part of the America Idol duet that Ryan Seacrest teased about on the most recent American Idol results show? If Seacrests hyperbole is to be believed, then American Idol viewers can expect to see two of the biggest stars in musical history come together.
Later in the American Idol results show telecast, Celine Dions name was mentioned as one of the artist performing, and much early speculation has revolved around that she will be half of the two biggest stars in musical history equation. However, there has been much debate as to who her singing partner will be with speculation ranging from Michael Jackson to surprisingly Elvis Presley.
How could Elvis Presley sing with Celine Dion considering by most accounts he passed away almost thirty years ago? No, the rumors are not as outrageous to assume that Presley has been found alive and persuaded to emerge from hiding, but instead center around a virtual reality Elvis being used. Reality TV Magazine readers have posted comments claiming that during a recent rehearsal for the Idol Gives Back special that Celine Dion performed with an Elvis impersonator (who will be replaced with a virtual Elvis). The song performed is rumored to have been If I Can Dream, which viewers might remember as the Elvis song that Elliott Yamin sang last year during American Idol Elvis theme week.
Now, as unbelievable as a duet between Celine Dion and Elvis Presley might initially sound, it might not actually be that far-fetched. Seacrest did describe the duet as something viewers will have to see to believe. A virtual reality Elvis on stage would certainly qualify as something people would have to see to believe. Also, Celine Dion has experience performing with deceased singers, as she did a virtual duet with Frank Sinatra. Finally, CKX Entertainment which owns 19 Entertainment (the producers of American Idol) also owns the rights to the name, images, and likenesses of Elvis Presley.
However, according to a comment by another Reality TV Magazine reader, Michael Jackson will be performing I Have This Dream with Celine Dion. I Have This Dream is the rumored title of a Michael Jackson single intended to raise money for Hurricane Katrina victims. The singles release has been repeatedly delayed, leading to some speculation over if it will ever be released. Part of the money raised by Idol Gives Back is going to help people in areas of Mississippi and Louisiana devastated by Hurricane Katrina. Michael Jacksons management as well as American Idol producers have repeatedly denied that Michael Jackson will appear on American Idol, but it certainly is a wild coincidence that Jackson has a delayed single to benefit Hurricane Katrina and American Idol is doing a special that will in part benefit Hurricane Katrina.
So while nothing has been confirmed, Celine Dion singing a song with someone about dreams seems to be one of the biggest rumors floating right now. Then again, maybe Celine Dion is just a decoy. What if it turns out to be Michael Jackson and a virtual Elvis Presley? To quote Ryan Seacrest, that is something we will have to see to believe.
Thanks for warning me that Celine Dion will be on. Now I know NOT to watch that night.
Just to make sure, is the Moneython on Tuesday or Wednesday night?
And thank you for warning me that Celine Dion, Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley might be singing...
I’m voting for Phil Tues.
Phil sang:”Where The Blacktop Ends” by Keith Urban on Country Genre night...
Really great performance!
He has a beautiful voice and a sweet personality.
Family man too...
He;Blake;Melinda & Jordin are my choices for top 4...In that order too.
Phil edges out Blake for me now as top spot contender.
His voice and his personality;his humble spirit;love & mention of Fam make him handsome on the inside for sure!
I just don’t care for the bald head...Some can carry off that look fine but not dear ‘ol Phil.
That man can “sang!” (sing)
It seems they will be broadcasting from two places. The singers from one, and in between the singing and reviews they will switch over to the other place where they will show show clips from their visits to Africa and Louisiana. The following night I guess we get the guests singing and the vote off.
“Idol Gives Back” — a two-night special starting on Tuesday — is thought to be the first venture by an American TV reality show into the business of mass fund-raising. It will combine the regular contest and results show with skits, viewer and business donations and performances by former “American Idol” winner Kelly Clarkson, Celine Dion, Gwen Stefani and others.
Wonder if that means we can look forward to more of these types of shows.
