Hopefully he goes home, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Lakisha either. She really stunk up the joint with her craptacular performance.
I love your fashion commentary, and agree with all of it!
I hate that high waistline (empire)...it makes all the girls look preggers. Orange is a hateful color...it’s only pretty on orangutans.
Melinda looked even MORE like a sack of potatoes in that hideous top. She is definitely NOT a country singer.
What was Melinda thinking, picking a song that went gold when Carrie sang it? There’s no comparison betw. her and Carrie. They are light years apart in looks and talent. So sad. She wil be in bottom 3 this week.
All right, I’ll say it, since no one else will—Blake is GAYER than Sanjaya! Argyle, my foot!
Crazy Sanjy must have been going for the gang vote tonight, with the Bloods rag on his head. Hope there were no Crips waiting outside to beat him up.
Chris held his own tonight, but like I said earlier, he’s this year’s Bucky. Bottom 3, definitely.
Phil was good tonight. He’s all-American, just not American Idol.
He was pretty good. A Keith Urban song back before he started doing music to slash your wrists by.
OH!!! Lost internet for a few...and this is the 1st post I see when I get back!!
YEEHAW!
Foxworthy rules! He was great last night on that show!
I was so proud of Carrie too!
LOL!
I don't either, LOL
LMAO!! I have to admit, I do like “Days Go By”.
I was a little surprised no one busted out some Big and Rich. Blake could have Blake-ified “Comin’ To Your City” or “Save a Horse”.
My picks:
Jordin, Melinda, Phil, Blake, Lakisha, Chris, Sanjaya...
If Sanjaya doesn’t go this week...I don’t know, it just REALLY is getting ridiculous.
Becky
Right now Dial Idol had the bottom three as
Bottom: Sanjaya (for the fist time), Kiki and Blake.
But that doesn’t mean anything because due to the margin of error all they really predict is that one of the seven will go home.
We can only dream!!
According to Chris, that's a form of singing ;)
I agree!
But I was kinda hoping Sanjaya would have sang “Man, I Feel Like a Woman!”
Oh, wait...I said Melinda when I meant LAKISHA singing the Carrie song.
Wonder why I always get those two mixed up???
Exactly.
She keeps drawing such duds in all these shows.
And Cheryl keeps lucking out with good partners.
MY ESTIMATION:
Phil lots better than I have ever heard him. Stays.
Jordin is awesome and will be at very worst in the top two
several weeks hence. She stays. Even Simon has finally reached the feeling I had 7-8 weeks ago—she could win.
I am quite sure she WILL win, and it will be between her and Melinda.
LaKisha did just fine as far as I’m concerned. Judges dumped on her unfairly, which will get her enough votes
to stay .
Chris was not terribly exciting, but another one that seemed unfairly dumped on, and he was visibly hurt by the rejection. That will get him LOTS of sympathy votes.I’m not sure he stays, but the idea that he really has to start “showing off” seems lost on him. Sort of the same as Blake, who is more naturally musical than Chris.
Sanjaya will NOT be boosted by the judge’s grudging tolerance of him. Simon is getting very antsy about Indian outsourcing keeping this self-satisfied kid on the show—it’s either every Indian in America, outsourced votes, or “vote for the worst”, which everyone connected with AI knows about and is pissed off by. They want him OFF, and on the basis of that powderpuff performance, he SHOULD be off tomorrow.
Melinda was terrific, exciting, and her usual thoroughly professional self, which means, she seems to be able to do just about anything just about as well as any singer I’ve ever heard.
Her singing always thrills me and makes me smile. She and Jordin will be no worse than final two. Simon seemed to be coaching her a little in front of America not to be so wide-eyed-—he wants her to last to the very end, and get into an exciting singing Battle Royale with Jordin every week from here on in.
Blake is losing me a little-—I agree with Simon, not a jump out of the chair performance, but I kind of feel that Blake,LaKisha, and Sanjaya will be in the bottom three. The other judges want him to stay, Simon wants to shake him up a little, before it’s too late.Chris is an alternate possibility for the bottom three. And if Sanjaya stays and any one of them goes, Sanjaya should kill himself, because he will be the most hated multiculti boychild in America. I expect Simon to walk off if Sanjaya gets through again. All in all, I think they probably have got orders to make sure about the legitimacy of votes tonight, all in order to keep Sanjaya where he belongs: back in high school. THose are my opinions, and I’m stickin’ to ‘em. I wonder what the Vegas odds on Jordin are? They probably went WAAAAAYYYYY down tonight, maybe 2-1. A trifecta should be offered in an Idol “Future Book”, just like the Kentucky Derby.
Thank goodness. And she hit the note at the end. Good job!
The crowd wasn’t real receptive to him when he was comparing the stars to the 3rd graders but he sure said what most of them are thinking regarding the Chicklets. The Wreckers have the loudest screaming fans in the theater but they’ve yet to win anything.
