OK, heres the Wednesday Noon rundown! (Its noon by me)
Tradesports:
Bottom 2:
Gina and Haley (Gina to go)
Dial Idol:
Bottom 3
Haley (at the bottom)
Lakisha
Gina
Note: All pretty close
AOL Poll:
Entire poll from top to bottom
1)Melinda
2)Sanjaya
3)Jordin
4)Blake
5)Lakisha
6)Haley
7)Phil
8)Chris R
9)Gina
Based upon this, looks like sweet rocker chick Gina is in trouble. Its pretty much between her and “Hot-Haley.”
Lakisha could be the spoiler to go and that would serve her right for disregarding Tony Bennetts advise!
That all said, Im glad to see Chris R near the bottom in spite of the judges pimping of him. But he and the rest of the dudes are probably safe. Darn it!
Ill check again this afternoon and post any major shifts. Last week there was a huge shift on tradesports from Haley to Chris S so someone in the know may have started the betting.
Tonight was the first time I watched since the auditions
I like Jordan Sparks .,...she well.....sparkles...doh.
Thanks for the Bo update. He’s one of my favorite Idols. I hope he’s doing well and will keep my eyes open for his new CD.
I don’t know...I still think Phil will go home tonight, despite what DialIdol says. I called in for Phil exclusively last night, and got through every time, dialling for an hour. I must’ve called at least 30 times.
Forot to say: Phil will go UNLESS the gay folks over 40 vote for him. “Night and Day” is their anthem, and Cole Porter is their patron saint.
WAIT! Don’t infer anything about me from those last two posts.
Yes, I am well over forty, but I voted for Phil because he is an excellent military man, and he loves his wife.
Those were the two I was voting for as well, except I had more busy signals with Gina...that must have been you!
I’m a little nervous about Gina though, “dialidol.com” has her in trouble. I think both she and Phil are better than Haley & Chris Richardson (as far as that 4-pack goes).
Sadly, I don’t think we’ll lose Sanjaya tonight...but we can always hope.
Same here...I got through every time....:-(
Phil is such a nice guy. It will be sad to see him go.
She always gets the old guys to dance with...
FYI..rumor has it that Sir Paul McCartney has been watching his soon-to-be-ex wife Heather Mills on “Dancing With the Stars” each week, and is very impressed with her talents and abilities. “If she had done handstands for ME, I wouldn’t have divorced her...”
What’s your guess as to Edyta’s body fat?..about 2%
If you get a chance, before tonight’s show, can you post to the thread the article from today’s NY Times “ARTS” section by Allessandra Staley about AI..It’s a hoot...I can’t access it from where I am today..thanks..
I'm hoping that they are not building her up--well Simon anyway--so that people don't think she has it made and they stop voting for her, thinking that she doesn't need the votes. That would be very, very sad.
I think a nice twist to the show would be that the judges would pick the top three every night and they were safe, then America got to pick the rest. Of course the numbers would change as the playing field narrows down.
Creative coiffure: Sanjaya Malakar in four separate appearances last month on "American Idol."

There are viewers who complain that there is something un-American about American Idol this season, and they may have a point.
The Fox singing competition that is under siege by supporters of Sanjaya Malakar, and Idol saboteurs like Howard Stern, has upset traditional fans who feel that the inventively coiffed but reedy-voiced Mr. Malakar is not talented enough to stay in the contest. But that is the risk Idol runs by giving viewers the final say.
Idol, now in its sixth season, has its selection process backward. In this country, people can vote for whomever they want even Al Gore in 2000 but the last word is left to the Electoral College and even the justices of the Supreme Court.
The most interesting thing about this seasons ado is not Mr. Malakar or Mr. Stern or even Simon Cowell; its the current obsession with voting on television shows and Internet sites like YouTube.
(snip)
Thanks, mags...Staley’s a whack job..but she does have a way with words...BTEW..did you see “House” last night?..very powerful..
Sure......(j/k)
Thanks. Now, where do you find the results that show who the bottom three might be?
I may be way off here, but, I wonder if there isa link between ballroom dancing and those that have studied ballet and or ice skating and ice dancing. The same fluidity and gracefulness would be necessary.
