Dave Barry was close: Denise Richards in the audience!

??? What did he predict that made him close?

He probably figures that Blake wouldn’t sell as many CD’s....

I don’t know why he thinks that. I took my 3 daughters to the YMCA pool today. The life guards and the teens got on the subject of AI and they all liked BLake. The teens at my church like Blake. And I know the myth that they don’t buy CD’s but they do. My friends daughter has at least a 100. (and she’s only 15). Jordin will do well but I think Blake would make a good selling CD.

I’m in Tucson, so I am just seeing Jordin’s first song. On another note, I heard Mandisa on KLOVE Sunday evening.

Guess we know who the tweentards are voting for, and it isn’t Blake. He appeals to an older group. College kids seem to like him.

OMG....I just watched her sing her last song....I am stunned at how good she is! I was crying right along with her!

My sons, 26 and 27 and their girlfriends are Jordin fans. My college son and his gf also love her. And my hubby and 86 yr. old mom and 40 something sister.....lol....I really do love her. I’m actually voting. When I don’t get a busy signal!

Blake seems like a nice kid, but he makes me crazy. Jordin is the singer, and she has a great personality.

Good to see you again.

Well NOW I know why someone said that song sounded like something perhaps having had Melinda in mind (the final one)...

I’d almost wager it WAS designed for Jordin and Melinda.

One of the guys who wrote it is a Christian recording artist and songwriter. Scott Krippayne. His most known song is “Sometimes He Calms the Storm” (”and other times He calms His child”) from probably about 10 years ago. He’s not doing nearly as much lately, but as soon as I heard them introduce the guys it made sense.

I didn’t even catch the other name, but it’s definitely the same Scott Krippayne. And with Melinda and Jordin both being outspoken Christians, and both having ties to the Christian music industry (both have toured with multiple Christian artists at different points doing background type stuff).

It’d make sense that given that the early predicted final 4 included FOUR girls who all tended towards Gospel/Christian music roots, AND we had two other outspoken Christians and worship leaders (Phil and Sligh) that when they announced the contest, it might have prompted some in that part of the music industry to have written something that might be more ‘geared’ to AT LEAST one of those five being one of the finalists so it ‘suiting’ them more (heck, I think many expected it to be TWO of the girls so then it’d REALLY fit)

Too bad the song wasn’t that great. I know several who submitted some...that were GREAT and NOT all cheese! Scott’s often got good stuff... :-(

Anyway, just thought that was interesting now that I’m finally seeing the show!

That song was written for Jordin. Blake just went through the motions but Jordin caught the emotion of the song. Blake was completely outclassed tonight.

I've been pulling for Jordin for the last 8 weeks or so. I agree with Randy, she is the best 17 year old singer, ever.

Hi Jonny. I’m truly sorry I missed the party tonight. Heavy work load before the holiday, so I’m working late every day this week. I think Jordin is going to win tomorrow night. Been wrong before, though.
