It's an interview Paula did with a local Fox affiliate. Seattle, I think. She spoke clearly enough, but she sure did seem to be on something. Either booze or pills. Something. It's very strange, because her words were not too slurred, but her movements and her eyes definitely looked like she was high.

I saw it on YouTube :) Paula was flopping around like a Muppet ... and she had to leave tonight because of a "family obligation." Even Seacrest didn't sound like he believed that one.

AI doesn't necessarily market all their winners/finalists so well. Clarkson really didn't emerge as a bonafide post-AI star immediately, remember the flop movie and a slow start in sales? Ruben fell into bad management and was lost in Clay's shadow. Fantasia like Ruben was more niche, Carrie was easy because country is huge and she was a natural for that genre. Chris Daughtry has the currently very popular Live/Fuel sound down to a tee and surpassed AI expectations out of the gate. Taylor is a bit of a challenge for them as well, he doesn't fit the pop genre or any one genre perfectly, a la Bice. I think personality and performance-wise Taylor in the long run will survive AI's lack of knowing how to handle him, whereas Bo might not.

AI gets them there, but it is still up in the air how far they go. Which is fine by me, I dont need my favorites to be in the top 10 all the time next to "Sexyback" and "Hips don't lie". Bleech!

I liked the Jack Osborn guy. He sang well and had a really dry wit. He could be fun to watch.

But on Sunday, he must lose. Then he and I can get together and I'll comfort him in his time of need. ;-)
