Just as long as it's not Tony Stewart (shudder) Ugh! Good driver, skanky guy. (Can a guy be skanky?)

Do you watch, "The Soup" on E? They showed a scene from The View this week where Rosie was dancing with big rolls of paper towels and toilet paper. It was horrifying. If that's what is normally on The View, no wonder they need some controversy to boost them up! No, I haven't seen The Soup. What you described reminded me of the Tom Cruise jumping on Oprah's sofa scene.

I agree with you on not finding much worth going to the theater for anymore. We went to the theater to see Night at the Museum, and I saw then that Dreamgirls was playing, which remined me that I would like to see it if for no other reason than to see Jennifer Hudson in it.
I understand what you are saying about the oscar talk so far back, but I wonder if a lot of that had to do with Jennifer's ability. As for the release time, I know they released it just in the nick of time, but, I'm not sure if that is a bad thing or good marketing (for the oscars). I can recall times when films were released to early in the oscar season so that when oscar time came around nobody even remembered them.
I think a lot of these awards are rigged or staged, but have to admit I was surprised by Forest Whittakers genuine lack of words at this win. Made me think that he was totally surprised to win.

I agree with all that you said.
I also agree with all those that have commented on how scary it is to realize how many people in this country are out of touch with reality.

got the cd and like it....i'm a huge country fan but i do like Taylor's music.... I just recently got it and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet.
Yesterday, I was watching the TV guide channel to see what was on and they had a segment on McPhee. I think they said that she was going to be making a gust appearance on AI this season, coinciding with the relsease of her debut album.
When will it stop? They pushed her on us last season and they are still pushing her on us.
To: Netizen
no kidding....she was just not my cup of tea - too phoney!! I agree about Taylor's CD - I like it - maybe BECAUSE it's Taylor but have not played it as much as I did when Clay's first CD came out....can't wait for tonight - and I don't mean the SoftheU - I mean AI.....!!

Speaking of the SoftheU, is AI only 1 hour tonight? Or will we miss an hour?
To: Netizen
Yes, I already checked the listings. AI is 1 hour. Tomorrow it's 2.

Well, so far, not many contestants have really stood out...
Let's hope tonight and tomorrow night have better contestants/talent.

Lemur Baby and Randy Pants have their own agent now. They were interviewed on TV yesterday by Meredith Viera. Randy Pants looked like he was having a ball. They get free plane tickets and hotel rooms in NYC when they appear on these shows. So the kids are having fun.

That "Dontcha" segment was a riot! It's all in good fun, though. Those who are bashing Idol for being "too mean" this year just don't get the concept at all.
It's like when you and your friends have a couple of beers and get up to do Karaoke. It's good clean fun.

I checked my listings -- as I should have done from the get-go -- and the answer is, "No."

Am I too early? Like there is such a thing:)
Mr. Twin2 is on his way home. Ah geez, it sounds like he needs to vent about work. I may not be back in time for the start.
