Look up "intercourse." It just means some sort of interaction, generally business. Unless you put the word "sexual" in front of it, it's a perfectly ordinary word.
I guess you always put the word "sexual" in front of it, even if it's not there. Sixth-graders laugh at that word.
"Intercourse" used to be called "Cross Keys". There were signs with keys in the shape of an X. Hence, "intercourse".
