Wish the Fox News guy would quit repeatedly mispronouncing Lancaster.

People not familiar with the geography typically pronounce the "LAN" part of Lancaster as if they were talking about a Local Area Network. There should be no additional stress on any of the syllables.

Fox is very bad at handling events such as this one. They have Bill Himmer on now and he is positively one of the worst news people in the industry.
This an admission of guilt. I am watching the coverage on CNN and it has much less speculation than does Himmer on Fox News.
It's LAN-ki-stir, not LAN-CAS-ter. Even I know that!

Just curious......why does it matter so very, very much to Pennsylvanians how Lancaster is pronounced? Sorry, but this is about the 5th time I've heard someone correcting another on how to say Lancaster, and I live far, far away. For those of us who don't live anywhere near Lancaster, how the heck are we supposed to know how to pronounce it?
I know. They pronounce it Laaaaann-caster. Then again, the Brits laugh at us when we pronounce their "shires" or "hams."
