The Amish give me the creeps, but have they determined that the shooter was a student?
Umm...why?
All in all the Amish are good conservative folks.
My husband is a salesman who frequently deals with the Amish community in Indiana. He finds them fascinating. Before he had this job, he did not know too much about them. He now loves working with them, because they are some of the most honest, decent, hard-working customers he has... and he gets to enjoy their marvelous cooking. When he has had an exceptionally trying day, he sometimes will say he'd rather go join the Amish.
My husband is on the road today and I'm just getting set to call him to see if he's heard about this. Knowing people like these and having seen schools probably much like this one, he's just going to be sick.
Our family rents a house to an Amish family and have owned a big farm in Amish country for 20+ years. They are truly wonderful people. My dad has had the Amish build two houses for him with great results. These are people who keep to themselves, want to be left alone yet are friendly, live an honest life, believe in God and would do anything for family and friends. And don't get me started on their homemade sweets! I can see why that would give you the creeps.
Prayers for the victims and the poor children that ran off into the fields to escape.
Amish give you the creeps?
Sheesh. They're wonderful, wholesale benign to generous, helpful people. They are human with their own collection of nuts and sinfulness . . . but they usually far out shine other groups and clusters of folks in their morals, values, diligence, responsibility, kindness . . .
"The Amish give me the creeps"
I cannot imagine why that would be. The Amish are among the most peaceful, quite people in this country. They never intend to cause offense, and generally just mind their own business.
Perhaps you should learn more about them, so you wouldn't have such odd reactions.
I think you know too little about them.
You give me the creeps...we are even.
"The Amish give me the creeps"
In such a tragic event as this, a group that has most likely never harmed you, in any way, shape or form, they give you the creeps? It seems, to me, some mental counseling would be of benefit to you.
..."but have they determined that the shooter was a student?"
Um, let's see, counting lines, starting with the headline, on line 23 it states that the shooter was a truck driver, and within 192 posts you have not figured that out? It also seems to me, some reading and comprehension skills would be of benefit to you.
Yikes!
