Well my theory is it wasn`t that he was really letting his true feelings be known, but rather he was trying to destroy himself. He was in an incredible destrucive mood like most alcoholics get into (your talking to the expert).

Remember, his first words when pulled over was "My life is f***ed". I`ve been there before quite a few times, and when you are in that state, self destruction comes VERY easily.

I mean what is the WORST possible thing he could have said to destroy his career? Well, he went and said it. To me though, right now that is the least of his problems.

It was obvious to me when the Passion was being released, the guy was under incredile pressure and he buckled. Before he started filming it and compared to when he finished, it looked like he aged 20 years. Let`s not forget all those liberal slimebags, anti-Christian zealots who did everything they could to destroy him, emabarrass him. They pretty much succeeded, yet these same slimebags will say nary a word on Islam.

Very astute observations. Stay well.

but rather he was trying to destroy himself.

I've always thought there was a bit of that in Pete Rose, too. While he wasn't a drunk (that I know of), what was the one thing that could keep him out of Cooperstown? Gambling on baseball. And he goes and does it.

Some people are just self-destructive. They can be self-destructive over time, or simply self-destructive late one night when pulled over by the cops. They don't feel worthy of the adulation of others, or they don't feel right about their (hidden from the public) flaws. So they go and do so ostentatious asinine thing that is sure to put them back in their place.

I think more of this goes on in the human psyche than we sometimes realize. I don't know what was going on with this actor. Maybe he's evil incarnate, or maybe he's just a flawed human being.
