BS. When you are drunk is when your true feelings come out.

Some drunks are really mean, some are lovable, some cry. I hate the mean ones. Luckily, I haven't dealt with this since for many years.

BS. When you are drunk is when your true feelings come out. A recently departed very dear relative of mine used to call it "liquid courage". It was only when she'd had a few drinks that she could stand up to her verbally abusive husband.
In Mel's case, it was "liquid anti-Semitism".

So, when I was drunk and had told this ugly woman I loved her to get her into bed, I meant it?
Wow..thank you for that insight.

I'm guessing Mel saw the name tag of the arresting officer and went off on his tirade. What does getting pinched for DUI and Jews starting wars have to do with each other. Didn't he ask the cop "are you Jewish?" He said a lot of stupid stuff that night. You know....drunk talk, beer muscles. Everybody turns into the same person when they get pie-faced. I think Brad Paisley's song "Celebrity" applies here.

...that is not necessarily true....though it happens more then not....but some people act out when drunk......or act like others ....and not how they are themselves....I know too many alcoholics and know better.....but you are right for many
