re: 361

Thank you. I was addressing your post one piece at a time, as I disagreed with most of it. I came to the part about service and it made my blood boil. It really did. I had a very difficult time showing restraint. I wish that one of my cousins still had his website up, which had pictures of all of "The Boys" in uniform, from Grandpa to present (just on my father's side of the family). When I said "well over a dozen", I wasn't kidding. His site is down, darnit.

We have had a number of discussions on FR, and they have been quite civil for the most part. I would like that to continue.

No problem. My point was that what may seem to us tyrannical may in fact be liberating. Your service being a case in point. You may have had to make judgments of a serious nature, even life and death decisions. It is no different for our Maker. We might make a mistake in that regard. He does not.

I do not know anyone, from the most profound atheist to the most devout Christian who has never questioned God, myself included. It is only proper to consider that maybe God has provided a means whereby His actions and intentions are not misunderstood, that means being the biblical texts which point very clearly to the fact the He Himself took up our frail nature and endured death so that we might live forever with Him and our families. That is science. Darwin is, to a great extent, fiction.
