WASHINGTON — Accusing politicians of "pounding their chests" on immigration for short-term political gain, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush said Tuesday that the tone of the debate had been "hurtful" to him and his Mexican-born wife, Columba.

Bush, the younger brother of President Bush, reserved some of his sharpest criticism for conservatives in his own Republican Party, calling it "just plain wrong" to charge illegal immigrants with a felony, as a provision passed by the Republican-led House would do. He also opposed "penalizing the children of illegal immigrants" by denying them U.S. citizenship, an idea backed by some conservatives but not included in the legislation.

"My wife came here legally, but it hurts her just as it hurts me when people give the perception that all immigrants are bad," the Florida governor wrote in an e-mail exchange with The Times.

Both parties seem determined to forcibly globalize the American people and sell our sovereignty down the river. We better do something about our government fast or they are going to sell our country right out from under us.

It causes one to reflect: What is the patriotic duty of citizens in the face of a traitorous cabal of internationalist money men who hold all power in the country -- who have stolen their power and trample on the soverignty of the people.

In consideration of the same, I believe the GOP would be a lot more foreceful and conservative the way in which they were in 1994 and 1995 in dealing with Clintigula.

Stalemate is good when both sides, especially "your own", is out to stick the shiv in your side.

"And you have joined the list of people who misuse the word "traitor."

You are wrong.

Here is the definition of "traitor"...........

Traitor: One who betrays one's country, a cause, or a trust, especially one who commits treason.

As you see, the word "or" is used--you are 100% wrong when you say calling one a "traitor" is "accusing them of treason".

Jeb Bush, along with his brother and Congress, are traitors to the "cause" (see definition)--the conservative cause. When you align yourself with the Republican party, you are associating yourself with the party of law and order and limited government.

It is as clear as can be they have all been traitors to the conservative cause. To deny so is to deny facts of words spoken and the Office of Management and Budget data tables on spending."

Right on!!!!!!

Way to bring it - Dont_Tread_On_Me_888

RINOs are watching their party crumble and are attacking conservatives like you and I because we actually expect them to uphold and defend the constitution and our laws.

Bush is a RINO elitist. Taking the sides of illegal aliens over the hard working law abiding Americans was the final straw for many of us.

It appears the Gov Bush is just as ignorant as the Pres Bush in telling immigrants from illegal aliens. My two daughters are LEGAL immigrants too, Jeb. I have no problem with penalizing those who stole their way into America.

I'm not responding to this thread anymore, since the Moderators don't want these issues discussed candidly.

Coming from you, I will take that as a compliment.

As far as mining the borders or shooting illegals on sight, like you would prefer, it would do little to nothing to stop the flow of illegals. They would find a way into the country by other means.

There is an intelligent solution to this problem but in your case it would not be recognizable.

It won't end as long as people feel frustrated by their leaders. It's pretty normal human reaction to situations over which they have no control. People are venting. No one should be surprised. I don't like the name calling either, but I do understand where it comes from. BTW, I see it on both sides.

###

They aren't ignorant. They are slick, just like Bill and Hillary. They are shifting the meaning of the words to change a debate they can't win truthfully.

Jeb Bush is "Just Plain Wrong" for America. Let him run for president of Mexico as that is clearly where his allegiance lays.

Neil Bush is now married to a Mexican lady as well (Maria Andrews).

GWB has been very disappointing in several areas, and I too am ready for completely new GOP blood, i.e., not McLame or any Bush. Staying shed of the Klintoons vis-a-vis the White House goes without saying.

So, only amnesty is realistic?

Seriously, lets say this plan goes through and half refuse to sign up because they will now be forced to take pay cut via having to pay taxes. Will you favor deporting those people who refuse to sign up?

What about new illegals who come in?

The GOP has become complacent about many things. A pox on them if they lose the House.
