Read the latest Science News. It suggests that up until recently we missed some signals concerning species stability in plants.

It is not surprising that things have changed a bit since Darwin. Look what else has changed in 150 years (airplanes, rockets, most of genetics, most of paleontology, paleobiology, paleontology, archaeology, most of astronomy, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.).

Darwin was ahead of his time! Its hard to find another theory that has changed less than Darwin's has.
