Lord! I 'bout lost a whole mouthfull of SunDrop readin' that one!
That's OK. The message got to those to whom it applied, i.e, those who responded.
Now you've scared me.
If you do no wrong, you have nothing to fear.
It's for The Children.
Well yes, your bullshat got called as bullshat.
Doubly apropos.
BTW, we live in a Republic not a democracy.
Moderator nuked your comment. You are not the police here, they are.
The suspect you were apprehending was what? A murder? Serial killer? Terrorist? A drug dealer that would have no turf to protect if not for the war on drugs and in all probability wouldn't be a drug dealer if not for the WOsomeD.
I know all about how entrys are done now please tell me what you would do if you were the one being entered?
There were TWO houses and they failed to find out which one was the one to hit.
That should have been clarified or the raid called off/postponed until they knew which one it was.
There is no call for "flip a coin' cop work in this case.
They roughed up the wrong people, likely tipped off their target, and compromised the informant (if the target has squat for brains) as well.
Real friggin' genius, and frankly inexcusable.
This foulup was preventable. Someone did not do their homework.
I am no fan of dynamic entry because a little slop in the paperwork and someone busts down my door, I will shoot first and ask questions later, assuming that anyone breaking into my house does so with malicious intent.
Then what?
We are a representative (democratic) republic. If enough popular votes can be had to change things, change they will.
I've never screamed about mopes who ran. That isn't the police's fault. Not exercising judgement and throwing granny to the ground is the officer's fault. I wonder he put a boot to granny's head.
Sorry, dude. I'm not buying it. There's no need for the ninja gear. There's no need for masks in small towns and there's no need (not even a tactical one) for kevlar helmets. Too many of your brethren (and I know quite a few) are rambo-wannabes in search of an enemy. Police forces need to be SURE of an address before they try to make an arrest and dynamic-entries should be of the last resort.
I'm military too and I keep a gun by my bed. If the police burst into my apartment in the middle of the night screaming, I'd probably be dead because I'd be reaching for my weapon.
Just so everyone here knows where this is. Horn Lake is about 3 miles from Memphis.
</sarcasm>
"Don't blame us, we're only the dumb machine that by the way tells the one who pushes the button what to do."
Mods have repeatedly backed me up, lol.
ouch!
That's like being shot with your own gun by your mother.
What I would like is for you to tell me what you would do if the entry team got your house on mistake?
