I had Fox News on for awhile yesterday. One of their infochicks was interviewing some "expert" about the Cheney accidental shooting and -- I kid you not -- the Fox infochick asked the "expert" to explain what it meant when the quail flushed because she didn't know.
It means they turn 'red' when someone tells a Dan Quayle joke!
About the info-babe and that stupid 'flush' quail question. My husband and I just gaped at her. Was she really that stupid or was she just filling air time -- or was she so dense as to think the listeners didn't know? Either way, I wish the reporters were there for their grey-matter brains and not their booby brains.
I'm glad a reporter asked that question. There are a LOT of people who don't know what it meant, and it used to be that the news gave you real information.
It means the quail drew 5 cards all in the same suit - sheesh, don't they know nuthin'?
