That is simply horrible. Your mother surely would not have wanted something like this. Maybe it is another reason cremation isn't such a good thing.
No one in my family has done it yet. The only one I have found who it was thought was cremated, I sent for the death certificate and somebody in the family evidently ordered the body moved to another state and buried in an unknown-to-them cemetery.
No, on my mother's side, there were at least two cremations. The first one traumatized me as a small child being told she was burned up and buried in a small box with a pretty pink bow. I don't think a regular burial would have upset me so much because my grandfather was laid out in the parlor when I was four years old.
I don't mean to criticize your mother's decision.
thank you. the thought of cremation didnt sit well with me either. more for selfish reasons of my own, i wanted a place i could go and sit and talk with her and put flowers. but i also know she didnt want a huge costly funeral. my witchy sister thinks she is going to bury her when my dad dies. but now i have the power to stop her. if i knew where my mom was id break her out and let her go. its sad when siblings have to be this way, thats why my wishes are down in writing and my sister isnt invited.(lol)
