SAFETY HARBOR, Florida (AP) -- Terri Schiavo's former husband has married his longtime girlfriend, friends and family members say.

Michael Schiavo and his longtime girlfriend, Jodi Centonze, were wed Saturday at a church in Florida. The bride's brother says it was a very emotional ceremony.

Schiavo's former wife, Terri, had suffered severe brain damage more than a decade ago and died last March after her feeding tube was removed.

Michael Schiavo had argued his wife was in a vegetative state, and would not want to be kept alive artificially.

...snip.....

The newlyweds first met in a dentist's office and began a relationship after Terri Schiavo was already in a nursing home. They have two young children.

Terri was not dea already and she did not make her wishes known. Her husband only came up with that rediculous statement after he had already told people he didn't know her wishes so don't be posting lies.

And as far as my nephew is concerned, his life is worth living till the end. He is 6 years old for pete's sake. I can't believe you would say something so disgusting about if he wants to live or not. He is the sweetest, happiest boy, and yes he wants to live.

Your sick. Don't post to me again.

George Felos gave me the chills every single time i saw him. neither michael or george came across as caring or decent to me. i think the whole thing stunk from day one and i hope terri is at peace now and her family is healing. michael could and should have treated terri's family in a kinder way and then maybe people wouldnt have so much distain and hatred for him. george felos in my opinion enjoyed terri's death. i think hes a creep.

Disregard previous post. I actually thought he WON his case. It turns out he didn't actually WIN his case, the doctors settled. I wish they would knock off the settling because it makes health insurance more expensive for all of us. And truly anybody can sue doctors for anything and the doctors settle because it's cheaper for them than fighting all the suits. Very sad for all of us.

I'm stuck on nursing home rules : )

I do know that until the patient's assets are completely used up, Medicare will not kick in for nursing home payment. That is after the original time allotment. In my mom's case, it was for her (non existent) physical therapy in one facility. Needless to say, I put her into an excellent board and care facility, which of course was paid out of her estate.

I've read quite a bit of evidence pointing to the defrauding of the Federal government and taxpayers, at the hands of Michael Schiavo and Felos.

It's kind of funny that "certain posters" aren't outraged about that scam. Hmmm?

I didn't call Terri Schiavo a freak. I referred to a "freak show," which is what the controversy surrounding her care became.

Your accusation of murder is stated as if it were an objective fact when it is only your opinion.

It's pointless to keep lying after you've been called on it. Why do you bother?

Your "amazing revelation" was that "corroborating evidence...was not forthcoming." In other words, your "amazing revelation" was false.

Learn to read. Three interested parties gave testimony supportive of their interests. None of the three offered any evidence to support their statements, other than their word. In other words, the interested testimony is uncorroborated. Since I have repeatedly mentioned all three of the interested parties, you would I hope not make the childish error of thinking I had forgotten about them.

Your reply entirely misses my point. You are claiming that one interested party's testimony is corroborated by the testimony of another interested party. My point is that there is nothing corroborating self-serving testimony except other self-serving testimony.

Your notion of "corroboration" would be a defense attorney's dream; when his client is accused of rape, it would suffice for the accused to assert that the victim requested to be raped--as long as his testimony was corroborated by, say, his brother, or his best buddy (who also helped hold her down, say).

I think MS had her tombstone ready to go years ago. It's chilling when you think about how relentless he was to make sure she died, and the ungodly haste in which she was cremated and buried.

The timeline and the odd circumstances of her original injuries make me wonder. Was he afraid that she would recover enough to speak? Maybe it was just all that money that would be used for agressive therapy, instead of on himself.

Are you familiar with Scott Thomas? Could be the same situation, except that his mom got custody over the wife. The police are actually conducting an investigation over what happened to him. Lots of good articles here about him.

Not all judges and police depts are corrupt, and for that I thank the Lord.

I should have complained, after my mom was moved. That particular facility was terrible. I've heard horror stories, and the temporary conservator for my mom told me that I would have to ride them, and pop in unexpectedly. Glad I did.

my sister fought my moms guardian to keep her alive because she was afraid my dad would die if he didnt have my mom. my dad got over it fine with time. it was cruel, selfish and now shes holding my mothers ashes hostage. my mother wanted to be spread in the wind over the ocean, never put into the ground as she worked on a farm her whole childhood. i cant believe my sister is such a witch that she would not honor any of mom's wishes. i made sure i became my dads guardian and my sister is in for a rude awaking. my poor mother is locked up in public storage somewhere. makes me sick....

Here's another chance. Fill in the blank:

"Scott Schiavo is a low-life for killing his wife. I understand that there is the distinct possibility that he was merely acting in accordance with her wishes, but that does not change the fact that he is a low-life. He is still a low-life for killing his wife because ______________."

Learn to read. Three interested parties gave testimony supportive of their interests. None of the three offered any evidence to support their statements, other than their word.

Which is what you would expect, since normal people do not carry tape recorders around to tape their conversations.

Since I have repeatedly mentioned all three of the interested parties, you would I hope not make the childish error of thinking I had forgotten about them.

Yes, you have made your belief in a murder conspiracy clear.

Your notion of "corroboration" would be a defense attorney's dream; when his client is accused of rape, it would suffice for the accused to assert that the victim requested to be raped--as long as his testimony was corroborated by, say, his brother, or his best buddy (who also helped hold her down, say).

I wouldn't necessarily say that it would suffice, but if it is decided that the testimony is, say "reliable, is creditable and rises to the level of clear and convincing evidence" then it most certainly would suffice.

Amdgmary I believe, posted the church's website. It is a beautiful church, and yes it is a Catholic church. Maybe someone can find it and post it. I'll try to look for it, because I was pinged to it.

I thought I posted it, found it in my history file, Espiritu Santo Catholic Church

Maybe someone else posted it, too. This is not the first church irregularity and will probably not be the last. There are so many things good the catholic church stands for, that I pay attention to, but this is too much. It makes me feel betrayed as we are dealing with an issue so sensitive I can't even post about it and are following catholic guidelines, not just because they are catholic.

There will be a high price to pay for doing what the church says is the right thing.

Here's another chance. Fill in the blank:

Any reply other than an apology for your original lie only exacerbates the situation.

Yes, you have made your belief in a murder conspiracy clear.

You keep shifting the burden of proof. If the burden were on everyone else to prove that Ms. Schiavo wanted to live, then the only way to carry that burden would be to prove that Mr. Schiavo and his brother and sister were part of a conspiracy to muder Terri.

However, the burden of proof is on the people trying to prove that she really wanted to die. Their statement alone does not adequately carry the burden, because they are interested parties. Having failed to carry the burden, they (should) lose and she (should) live. This does not imply that they are or aren't conspirators to murder; only that they have not proven their case adequately.

In other words, you are lying again, despite having been set straight on exactly this point already.

I wouldn't necessarily say that it would suffice, but if it is decided that the testimony is, say "reliable, is creditable and rises to the level of clear and convincing evidence"...

...and the credentials of the judge are irrelevant? For example, his opinion carries ultimate weight with you even after learning that he's a complete boob who has 2/3 of all his cases reversed on appeal, and who made substantive errors of fact in his findings (for example, blowing the date of decease of Karen Quindlen)? So if a rapist and his brother agree that they were "watching Battlestar Galactica on Sci-Fi at the time," and the judge, a known boob, fails to note that BSG didn't air that night, then you'll be satisfied? Even after another witness testifies that the rapist has repeatedly claimed never to have seen BSG? And after his cable company had settled a lawsuit in which the rapist sued because he couldn't receive the sci-fi channel?

Either you believe Mr. Schiavo, or you don't think it matters whether he was telling the truth. In one case, you'd be ignoring many causes of doubt; in the other, you'd be saying that Terri should be euthenized regardless of her wishes. So in all honesty--which is it?

That is simply horrible. Your mother surely would not have wanted something like this. Maybe it is another reason cremation isn't such a good thing.

No one in my family has done it yet. The only one I have found who it was thought was cremated, I sent for the death certificate and somebody in the family evidently ordered the body moved to another state and buried in an unknown-to-them cemetery.

No, on my mother's side, there were at least two cremations. The first one traumatized me as a small child being told she was burned up and buried in a small box with a pretty pink bow. I don't think a regular burial would have upset me so much because my grandfather was laid out in the parlor when I was four years old.

I don't mean to criticize your mother's decision.
