SAFETY HARBOR, Florida (AP) -- Terri Schiavo's former husband has married his longtime girlfriend, friends and family members say.
Michael Schiavo and his longtime girlfriend, Jodi Centonze, were wed Saturday at a church in Florida. The bride's brother says it was a very emotional ceremony.
Schiavo's former wife, Terri, had suffered severe brain damage more than a decade ago and died last March after her feeding tube was removed.
Michael Schiavo had argued his wife was in a vegetative state, and would not want to be kept alive artificially.
...snip.....
The newlyweds first met in a dentist's office and began a relationship after Terri Schiavo was already in a nursing home. They have two young children.

Mitigate that.
Mock the Bishop. The courts, the legislature, other FReepers, the judge, Michael and his family, the people, the courts...but do nothing about the plank in your eye.
Do you have a link for the other article and the name of the church? I have a directory I can see if it exists.
Yep, laughing at you.
I hear ya, wasn't yelling at you, just the insanity of this situation at this point in time.
Make that dehydrated to death. Lack of water is what killed her. But I get what you're saying. If Michael Schiavo is the gold standard of a loving husband, then I'd do everything in my power to become free of a man that "loved" me like that!
LOL glad to have given you a laugh.
I'm not getting into this lunacy again...I never learn my lesson...the facts never matter to you people...so...goodbye.
Lynch is a BINO. (bishop in name only).
I'll look. It will take me a minute to find it. I spoke with another Freeper who has family who have been parishioners there for a long time. I'll get back to you in a jif.
I think I read and understand you perfectly well. You feel permitted to make the most outrageous statement (Michael murdered Terri) as if it were a fact, but when someone else points out to you (based on "clear and convincing evidence" to use the words of the court) that he was actually carrying out her wishes you wave your arms and scream that this is not an "incontrovertible fact."
You're right. It's not an incontrovertible fact, but the weight of the evidence supports it. I also don't have incontrovertible proof of gravity, but until I have to pick myself up off the ceiling and dust myself off, I'm going to continue to state that it's real.
Personal knowledge of another's stated wishes is of course the strongest basis on which one may assert knowledge of incontrovertible fact. Was this how you knew? No, it wasn't. So how do you know?
How do you know, since you believe the evidence to be strong enough to warrant an accusation of murder?
The principal witness in this case is Michael Schiavo himself, who was seeking the outcome of his wife's death, and who had undertaken political activity to legalize her starvation in the first place. This is hardly a disinterested party. His corroborating witnesses are his brother and sister, clearly also not disinterested parties.
Apparently you think they were so interested that they would lie in order to facilitate her murder. You have no evidence of this, but don't let that stop you.
Her family and friends weren't disinterested either, obviously. I find the Schiavos' testimony less credibly than the Schindlers'
In spite of their demonstrated willingness to be dishonest?
This leaves me uncertain which is correctly representing Terri's wishes
Nonsense. In post #46 you declared that Michael Schiavo murdered Terri. You stated this as if it were a fact rather than an opinion. If you had followed your own principles regarding statements of fact, then perhaps we wouldn't be having this conversation.
When this was all being played out, I was so angry at Jimrob because of the things that were being said and threatened on this website. I thought if something did happen to Michael, they would come after us. I'm serious, it was that crazy here and Jim allowed it. He allowed people to actually make threats and that's the truth. Meanwhile, I was banned for saying FU to someone. Things really have not been the same since. Alot of good people left FR. But I do think at this point these people are the minority...they were just so loud back then.
Terry is dead, she did not die on her own, she was not terminally ill and did not die of disease. So someone killed her. Who was it? What is wrong with calling it as it is. If MS did not insist on her being dead - she would be alive today. You have a problem with calling it murder? What do you call it when someone's actions cause another persons death. Sounds to me like murder is a perfect word to use.
JimRob is on the record as saying it was wrong to kill her.
There's nothing conservative about torturing innocent people to death.
I know that.. and there's nothing wrong with that. What was wrong was him permitting people on his website to make threats against the life of Michael Schiavo. Or do you think that was ok?
The only person who ended up dead was Terri.
IMHO, both sides were loud. Everyone needed time to cool off. I think it's great in a way that people on FR can be so like-minded about some issues, and totally at odds about others. We don't all need to be clones of each other. I wouldn't want there to be someone else who thought just like me in every aspect. That would be too weird for words.
