Personality and politics is a problem you'll no doubt have with just about any of the H'wood group. Whatever happened to that Sean woman? The one who was in Bladerunner? I loved that movie...
I wondered if maybe in a panic and trying to keep her hidden if they didn't cut off her hair, and or color it.
Regarding the "balk look", I always thought that Madison Ave and the beauty and fashion industry ruined the natural beauty of women by trying to get them addicted to their products.
I once had a friend, who worked in the fashion industry...and she was loosing her hair. She was very pretty girl but she was deeply depressed about it.
One night, over too many cocktails, I mentioned to her that some men like short hair (and no hair) on women. The next time I saw her (several weeks later), she had cut her hair extremely short and had even changed her whole appearance to match her hair style. She looked terrific. She had shifted to black as a primary color and was absolutely glowing when I saw her (getting rid of depression can do that).
Though we never spoke of my otherwise stupid comment, I always hoped that I might have given her a little extra courage.

and expanding the investigation into areas such as we are contemplating! The pro-aruba/VDS bunch sees a window right now to manage the public perception of this case relatively unopposed, with Katrina wall-to-wall on the tube and Jossy more or less silenced for now.
Regardless of Jossy's motivation and shady history, he has done plenty to keep this going.....there is no question in my mind that he is on the opposite side of the fence to the people who bring us the coverup and blame the victim and other such nonsense.....trolls and opportunists were all over the teevee probably more than even the message-boards.
The silence of the Dutch-appointed Governor-General (the man with the real Executive power over the aruban "government" and civil servants) is deafening to me.

The Holloway case is considered an internal affair. The Govenor General appointed by the Queen and is part of the executive branch which can only act in matters of defense, foreign affairs, and the Supreme Court. At least that's the excuse that would be given as to why he is not involved. We might as well be asking why the Queen is not handing out orders.

I'm not much of a traveler outside of our bordering neighbors, and don't really forsee it in at least the near future. I do think, I would do a 'whole buncha' research on where I was going, making sure there was an embassy, etc. etc. in light of this situation.

I stopped working overseas in the early 80's......americans working overseas are a different bunch than regular tourists and our military/diplomatic types. The word to the wise back then (and I would guess still now) is that if you (an American) find yourself in difficult circumstances or trouble, it was better to seek assistance at a British embassy......and if immediate tramsportation out of the country was in order, your chances were best at a Russkie embassy as they would provide it if only to make the US look bad. The moral of this is that the State Dept is not very interested in providing services for Americans in distress......Foreign Relations is their thing, to a fault.

When I was in WA, there was nothing to do except go to cosmetology school. They only had a junior college then and I was beyond the 60 hours already.

I don't like and think it's a crappy way to do things, but this is how they do it...in Aruba.
