NO...he was just leaving the detainment center where he was being interrogated....My guess is they're driving him to jail as I type

UPDATE: He was not RELEASED but moved to another location, possibly the prison. This report is unconfirmed.
If it's any consolation to you, I'm a guy. I mostly lurk. My wife and I raised four daughters and we can't image the pain the parents of Natalee are going through.

Right.... I saw that, from what the two on Geraldo were saying, I can't imagine he'd be released. Although I'm not sure I understand the difference between 'charging' and whatever it is they do to hold people.

I guess this as well as the Van der Straaten possibilities both make sense. Also stuck in my head is the general leniency the Dutch have towards pornography. I wonder if it was the actual sale of a video that triggered action (as opposed to free sharing) or the girl coming forward.
Last night I did hear someone report that Aruban LE were acknowledging the FBI's help in recent progress. They may have been the ones to track this down and/or do the computer forensics.

I usually miss the fights. And that's fine with me. Not that I wouldn't stand for what is important, but a person has to *pick* the right battles, not "nitpick* them. Know what I mean?

I watched Geraldo's show from 10-11pmEDT.....I find it odd that there was not a mention of it.....Beth and both of her lawyers in aruba (Vinda and Helen) were also guests.
For now, I don't believe it.

Basically what they were saying about that original 14 yr. old girl was that she willingly did the video that Geraldo first reported about. However, this happened 2 years ago (already prosecuted, and the adult in the film went to jail). She is not Joran's girlfriend and was not drugged. I guess she just wanted the attention—bragged about it at school, etc. (Heartbreaking)
They are surmising over there that there may be more videos of underage girls that have been produced and sold by Freddy and the others (sick bunch of hoodlums). Ones which are much more current—where it is obvious that the girls are drugged/unconscious.
