Surinamese Deepak Kalpoe, 21, arrives to court in Oranjestad, Aruba, Friday, Aug. 26, 2005. Aruban police arrested Kalpoe and his brother Satish, 18, along with a third person according to government spokesman Ruben Trapenberg, saying he doesn't know if the arrests are connected to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Surinamese Satish Kalpoe, 18, front, gets in a car to go to court in Oranjestad, Aruba, Friday, Aug. 26, 2005. Two Surinamese brothers, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe, who had been detained and released in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway were arrested again Friday based on new evidence, officials said. The brothers were detained on suspicion of involvement, with unidentified 'other people,' in premeditated murder and rape, the prosecutor's office said. Person to the right is unidentified. I don't know the answer about the FBI. I missed the beginning of the show.
Joe Scarborough's show tonight: he interviewed Beth in her home.
Beth talks about Prime Minister Odeber first removing Van Der Straaten from the case in the first few days and appointing Dompig as lead investigator, which was a relief to the family.
Then suddenly Dompig was off the case and Van Der Straaten was back in charge. Beth talks about June 10, that there was news of a body, she was getting numerous phone calls that night. That there was blood in Deepak's car. Then the next day all that changed.
Beth says, "I will be the voice for Natalee for the next 40 years, if I live that long".
Beth said it is not getting any easier or less painful for her to be in her home. That it makes her angry because the suspects are hidding in plain view.
Beth has said it so well. I just about blew a gasket watching Greta. I'll try to catch Scarborough in a bit. When is Line up on on Fox? I must check my guide and see if I can tell. I'll also catch Nancy at 10pm. She does drive me nuts but at least she's an advocate.
Yeah like the Netherworld can do anything of value. Perhaps destroy the tapes. My hope is that Skeeters and the FBI would retain an original. And also, Skeeters could swear a statement as to what Deepak said as if the whole world didn't hear it clearly.

Paulus van der Sloot initiates preliminary case for damage and prejudice
related to the fact that he sat a few days in jail
DIARIO Aruba
10/22/2005
ORANJESTAD(AAN): On Friday morning, the parents of Joran van der Sloot, Paulus and Anita van der Sloot presented themselves in court, along with their lawyer Mr. Arie Swaen.
Information that DIARIO has obtained shows that Paulus van der Sloot went to court with his lawyer to initiate a case of damage and prejudice, due to his being jailed during the case of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
DIARIO called lawyer Swaen to confirm, and the lawyer explained that its is true that the case took place, however it can be regarded as a preliminary case. A person can ask for damages and prejudice when a case is officially closed. A person has 3 months to do this.
The judge indicated that he will give his decision on the 11th of November. According to lawyer Swaen, if the judge decides that the case is closed for Paulus van der Sloot, they will then initiate a case of damage and prejudice, for the days he sat in the police station jail.
If the case is not closed, they will then keep looking for when this will be the case so they can follow up. The question is, on what does the lawyer base a case of damage and prejudice and what will he ask for his client, as normally a suspect can ask for 50 Florin per day that he sat in KIA, in the case that he is innocent.
And Paulus van der Sloot did not sit in jail many days. Perhaps the case is based on the fact that van der Sloots career is now affected because of the days he sat in jail. In other editions, DIARIO will look for more information on this case.

Don't you know that the video only shows the back of Deepaks head.
------
I think Dompig's point in saying that is because they couldn't see Deepak's face, particularly, his lips when he responded with 'She did' or She didn't.' Dompig made a distinct point of blowing the possibility of a discrepancy on this answer when he points to Deepak's following statement of "you wouldn't believe how easy it was."
My question is...who on this investigative team or prosecutor's team cooked up this imagined discrepancy?
I don't think this was Dompig's idea or he wouldn't have blown the idea apart with his point by point presentation tonight.
As far as I know "The LineUp" is on Fox on weekends at 9 p.m. ET.

I like the picture of Paulus that Diario chose to use.
I hope we get to see newer pictures just like that one.
Paulus looks good in prison bling.
Maybe I missed that part as my husband and son were yapping as I was trying to listen, but it's so obvious there is a huge struggle between the competing parties such as LE and the Prosecutor. This Prosecutor should be FIRED. Honestly she's been on the wrong side of this case the whole time. She waited something like 18 days to take Beth and Jugs and their friends statements. Just things like that. She's useless. Poor Beth. How can she stand all this stuff. She had these perps COLD within 24 hours. Since then there has been a gargantuan effort to destroy the case and orchestrate a COVER UP!! All the while, Natalee's remains are where Paulus put them.
Thanks for the Lineup time sheba.
Perhaps Beth could have that picture BLOWN UP and plaster it all over Arnhem Holland. In fact, why not all over Holland period. And Aruba. btw whatever has become of Joe Mammana? I wonder if he's up to something behind the scenes?
On Nov. 11th, maybe the judge will make PVDS prove that he had no involvement in the case. Maybe the prosecutor will get to cross-examine PVDS. Like how could he know that there was "no body" at the time he gave the "no body - no case" advice?
And what about the money withdrawn from PVDS' ATM account the night Natalee disappeared?
And if he is so innocent, why won't sloot allow a search of his house (even at this late date)?
Good questions but I don't trust ANY of the Judges. Remember his excuse for saying "no body,no case"? He was just giving "general" legal advice. NOW, any judge that would believe that is well, fixed!!
Beth Twitty discusses the new water searches, the fishermans huts, and police wanting to question Natalees friends.
October 24th, 2005
During the Beth Twitty interview on Fox Line Up October 22, 2005, she makes some rather interesting comments. Some rather bold ones even for Beth Twitty:
"Well Julie I think that Aruba realizes they dont have any choice but to solve this case. They have to find out what happened to Natalee and where she is. Its not an option anymore.
There were so many things that were just blatantly orchestrated wrong in the beginning.
There is a reason why there is no evidence. When evidence is never gathered or evidence is gathered and then lost that is when you dont have any evidence."

Guests: Ken McLaughlin, Bruce Gerstman, Allison Wilkes, Ken Stabler, Mike Shula, Beth Holloway Twitty
Snip...
SCARBOROUGH: Oh, junior year.
All right.
Well, I will tell you what. Everybody here is having a great time.
And I can tell you that, last night, I went to Birmingham. I talked to Beth Holloway Twitty, talked about some things that were tough for her, because her daughter should have been here tonight. Her daughter actually got a scholarship to the University of Alabama, but went down on a senior trip, as you know, went down to Aruba.
And her mother, I am telling you, it is an amazing story. Beth Holloway Twitty is not going to stop. Shes not going to give up her fight. She is going to get justice for her daughter Natalee, if it is the last thing she does.
(CHEERING AND APPLAUSE)
SCARBOROUGH: And she told me last night in an amazing interview, you know, if I have got to fight for the next 50 years of my life, Im going to do it.
I want to play you some of that interview that we had last night at the Holloway-Twittys house.
(BEGIN VIDEOTAPE)
SCARBOROUGH: Do you have any birthday memories, anything, like her 18th birthday? What saw she doing on her last birthday?
BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY, MOTHER OF NATALEE HOLLOWAY: Probably her 16th birthday, because thats when you do the car.
SCARBOROUGH: Right.
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: And I think that one was probably the most special.
And it probably is to all parents.
SCARBOROUGH: What do you remember about the 16th birthday?
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: I dont think I can do it.
SCARBOROUGH: Any parent with children knows that they spend all this
time getting their children ready to go off to school
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Yes.
SCARBOROUGH: And that was robbed from you, apparently by three young men, who are now on the loose. How do you deal with that?
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: You know, Joe, I think back to the judge. I think back to Judge Rick Smit. And I think that he chose the suspects rights over the victims rights in this case.
And it is hard for me. And Im sure it is hard for everyone that has stayed with us in this investigation. And, you know, we see it so clearly, what they have done. And you know, I justI just cant imagine why he would feelwhy this judge would feel the need that for Joran to continue, to begin his study in college. He felt like ithe needed to gethe needed to move on with his life and he needed to begin and not miss his college days.
I just cant imagine a judge placing a suspects rights over a victim, just so he can begin college.
SCARBOROUGH: You have got these threeagain, these three prime suspects. And you have got one of them that has actually said some very unkind things about your deceased daughter.
(BEGIN AUDIO CLIP)
JAMIE SKEETERS, POLYGRAPHER: Im sure she had sex with all of you
DEEPAK KALPOE, SUSPECT: She did. To tell you quite frankly, dressed like a slut, talked like one. Would go in a car with three strange guys and her mother claiming her to be the Goody Two-shoes. Enough of the B.S. already.
(END AUDIO CLIP)
SCARBOROUGH: Do you believe that him admitting that all three of them sexually took advantage of Natalee that night, do you think that is going to end up getting him back in jail?
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: It has to. It has to.
SCARBOROUGH: And if it doesnt, what are you going to do?
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: I think that Aruba knows the choice, that if it doesnt.
They now have the tape. As we speak today, the taped evidence from Deepak Kalpoe is in their possession today. So, they need to go ahead, analyze it. Whoever needs to do it, whether its someone in the Hague, find out its credibility. And they need to utilize it and they need to issue newthey need toit shouldit should warrant the re-incarceration of all three of them.
SCARBOROUGH: I understand that Natalees dad is down in Aruba right now. What is he doing?
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: He is. And they are really concentrating searches, of course, in the water. And I think that they are focusing.
You know, they have a radius that they are focusing in. And, you know, as far as that, it seems like everything keeps coming back to the water and dives in the water.
SCARBOROUGH: Lets go back to the night of crime. And we have heard about this boat, that there was a guy that got arrested and then released.
What was the deal? What was the connection between Joran and this boat and the possibility that they may have taken Natalees body offshore and dumped her? And where is that right now?
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: Well, it is so complicated.
Theres actually two individuals who have been mentioned. Eitherone, of course, was arrested, Steve Croes, who iswas the deejay on the Tattoo boat.
And he was arrested because he was a lying witness. And you can be a lying suspect in Dutch law, but you cant be a lying witness. ThatsI just learned that this summer. So, what happened was, Steve Croes came forward. And Joran even mentions him in his first statement, that Steve Croes is the witness to seeing him drop Natalee off at the Holiday Inn and the two security guards coming up to take her.
So, Steve Croes comes up. Thats where he sticks his neck out for some reason. He volunteers this information that, oh, he witnessed this happening at the Holiday Inn. Well, that never even happened. So, thats why Steve Croes was arrested. But Im sure there is another motive behind Steve Croes. Im sure that it was that he has involvement.
SCARBOROUGH: So, you are going to go back down there beginning of November. Are you going to give them one more chance?
HOLLOWAY TWITTY: November the 1st, I am returning.
And, you know, they have already had some requests made of them. I made it perfectly clear what the family expects right now. So, there are several thingsthere are several things that still need to be met. The FBII want the FBI to have ever audio, video tape, every statement. I want them to have the box of raw data. I want them to have those leads that were coming early. And I want to know how each lead was handled.
And I want to know how they followed up on them. And, secondly, I want the Dutch interrogators involved. There were four of these men from Holland. They were extremelythey were dedicated to Natalees case. I want them involved. I want them involved in the interrogations. I felt that they were as shocked as I was on September the 1st, when the judge released them. I do.
I mean, they had invested hugely in Natalees case. And I had met with them several times. And I just really had a good feel, a gut feeling that they were determined to find the answer. I mean, I think they wanted to solve this. I do. And, you know, but they need their suspects, they need them to be there to interrogate them. I mean, if they free them all, it is hard for them to continue their mission.
(END VIDEOTAPE)
Beth on Greta:
They(Holloways/Twittys) had hope early on when VDStraaten was removed and Dompig was put in charge of the case. Then discouraged when Dompig was removed and VDStratten reinstated. They believe Dompig really wants to solve this case, then and now.
They knew early on that the prosecutor did not want to prosecute this case.
Condi made a call to PM Oduber(sp?).
Dompig on tape: As soon as tapes are authenticated Deepak and lawyer will have to come in for questioning.
Beth on Scarbrough:
"You do not want to turn me loose from this island without an answer."
VDStraaten was removed around June 5th, Dompig was put in as lead investigator...they were relieved. After a few days Dompig seemed to begin to understand what had happened in this case and was getting close to the truth...then Dompig was removed and VDStraaten was brought back.
Beth will be Natalee's voice for the next forty years if that's what it takes. She will remain angry as long as the criminals are left hiding in plain sight.
