Hmmmm - I actually heard one of the resident American reporters (had a British Accent) state that the area no longer existed. However, I'm not really sure it's relevant to the case anyway. They could never be sure that All of Natalee would be consumed right away and what might be left behind. The area is filled with garbage also and is not too deep as I recall. Parts of her or her clothing could easily be hung up on the shore or on garbage.

That appears to be what has happened to "all" of the evidence sheba. I'm positive there was Natalee's blood in Deepaks car or they wouldn't have cut out a portion of the seat and a square portion from the ceiling. Then the bloody mattress on the beach ? Dogs blood? Then there ws a body, then no body; a confession, then no confession; and on and on it goes. It still bugs the living bejeezus out of me that a Judge would not authorize a warrant for the Vanderslut property????? WHY? Both father and son were suspects. Like I keep saying, the Dutch are not only corrupt, they are completely hopeless. The ALE couldn't organize a two man rush to the crapper.

I'm positive there was blood in Deepak's car, too. Remember the report that the K-2's were washing it in the middle of the night.
Also, it seems like I read that a furniture van came to the PVDS home a week or so after Natalee disappeared. If true, I wonder if it contained a new mattress for them. Paulus would not have sweated so much during Greta's interview, if he didn't have something incriminating in the house, IMO.
I agree that might be a reason for the new activity from ALE. I wonder how those Arubans feel about the Sloots now with Paulus suing their happy little island.
If Paulus does sue, will he be opening himself up to further investigation? Discovery by questioning under oath? I do hope so! I want to see him sweating buckets again.

I've seen the picture of the furniture store truck at the Sloot's home. Not sure of the exact date the picture was taken, but I first saw it when Joran was first in jail.
Wouldn't the beach be a really dumb place to leave a mattress with evidence of a crime on it? Especially if it was your mattress that contains your DNA along with crime scene evidence.
To shuck it down to the cob, of what significance is all of this sudden legal wrangling?
One last question I have is, who in the hell is this Koen suspect?

Your solution of Duct Tape for the problem of Arleen's irritating dialogue was priceless - gives a great mental image.
The beach would be a dumb place to dispose of a mattress with crime evidence on it. Actually, I don't think Paulus would dispose of it by throwing it away anywhere on the island. That leaves burning it or shipping it off the island. It would present a big problem by any method.
It does seem strange to me that the PVDS' would be getting new furniture when they had the problem of Urine's arrest to deal with.
Arie came from the Netherlands in 1975, first to Aruba, but soon after ended up in Curacao. He had a car rental business in Sta Rosa. Then he decided to change over to what he loved to do most, namely carting. He founded the Curacao Carting Club and the races were conducted on the track near Shut at Seroe Fortuna every weekend. The club members, amongst others Olympic Committee chairman Wendell Prince, entertainer Clark de Windt, Harry Lo A Njoe, Eddy de Kort, the late Fifi de Jongh of Banco di Caribe and notary public Stanley Palm also went racing abroad. The last three persons named above and Arie Mulder were committee members. Mulder was full time busy with the carting sport. His friendship with Anna Christina was from long time back, about 25 years. Mulder went to live near the carting track because of constant burglary. But that didn’t help. Carts were stolen and soon a competing carting club was founded. He lost interest and retired. He built the house at Gato himself.
His biggest passion of lately was breeding fish. Anna Christina visited him every evening and cooked for him and she would go back to her own house at Kashutuin around 21:00 to watch her soaps. She had two daughters and a son with her ex-husband Ted Koetsier. The son died in a motorbike accident in 1987. Arie Mulder led a reclusive life these past years. Gato is known to be a bad place to live in Curacao. Both Arie and Anna Christina were warned at numerous occasions by their family and friends.
The funeral of Arie Mulder and Anna Christina takes place this Saturday, October 22nd.

I'm here, darlin'. I keep checking in...hoping for a) justice for Natalee, and b) a glimpse of you! How the heck are ya?
I can't see that pic well enough to tell if there is a truck at the sloot's home. I nearly burned my eyes turning up my brightness and contrast!
The picture I recall seeing was much closer up than that one. It was easy to identify Paulus and Anita in the picture.
What's with the rooster routine?
Besides, my 'rise and shine' sunk and tarnished long ago.
Malichi, I've followed some of the discussion at SM where they discussed Koen. He appears to be a friend of Joran's. Koen's dad owns a boat, so Koen is suspected of providing the boat that Joran supposedly was on the night Natalee disappeared. Of course, it's just a guess.
