What the headline shows me is the dutch authorities are very acute at arresting American(s) gangs, but when it comes to their own, a pass is given.
The dutch law enforcement law enforcement and judicial system, hears no evil or sees no evil if a dutch perp is involved.
When American(s) are involved, speedy arrests and trials to follow. Guilty as charged, next case please!!!
So they are busting these HA(s) for drugs and intimidation, when yo can go to the dutch coffee houses and purchase drugs as well as lattes'.

Dave Holloway is just wasting his time and money. Their will be no justice for Natalee in this life time, under the dutch judicial system.
Either Dave is naive or a complete fool. If he believes the dutch authories/judiciaries care about what happened to Natalee or any American.
If he were smart, some money and paper would be a good investment on bringing those responsible to justice.
Otherwise, he is just spinning his wheels in the aruban funk sand.
The prosecutor is the problem and not the solution in this case.

This is a partial transcript from "On the Record," October 18, 2005, that has been edited for clarity.
GRETA VAN SUSTEREN, HOST: Natalee Holloway's (search) father arrived back in Aruba (search) just hours ago and met with the chief prosecutor. Holloway family attorney Vinda DeSousa was at the meeting. She joins us live on the phone from Aruba, welcome Vinda.
VINDA DESOUSA, HOLLOWAY FAMILY ATTORNEY (by telephone): Hi, Greta, nice talking to you again.
VAN SUSTEREN: It's nice talking to you. So, Vinda, what happened at this meeting today?
DESOUSA: Well, this meeting today both my colleague and myself sat with Mrs. Karin Janssen and Mr. Dompig, you know the acting chief of police with Dave Holloway and he was briefed on the investigation, how the status of the investigation is, where it's going and what is being done at the moment.
VAN SUSTEREN: Vinda, did you walk out of that meeting thinking, wow, they're really moving on this?
DESOUSA: Yes. We were all very optimistic and so was the prosecution and the deputy chief of police. We were told that by no means this is a cold case that there is a lot to investigate on and they're very optimistic.
VAN SUSTEREN: What about the tapes? I mean what's sort of interesting is that apparently Deepak Kalpoe (search) had a conversation on tape with a man named Mr. Skeeters and that on this tape he said that he had had sexual relations with Natalee and, of course, there's a question whether it was assault or not, whether she could consent if she was under the influence.
DESOUSA: Exactly.
VAN SUSTEREN: But apparently he had never told the police that before. I know the deputy police chief wants those tapes. Does Karin Janssen want those tapes and has she made a demand for them?
DESOUSA: Oh, most definitely. The minute that the show aired on Dr. Phil and these statements by Deepak were heard on Dr. Phil's show, Mrs. Janssen being the chief prosecutor and the head of the investigation requested those tapes.
I know that they were requested through Mr. Skeeters and from what I understand a copy was turned over to the FBI. A formal request was made by the chief prosecutor to the FBI and the FBI promised to have a copy or have the tapes delivered to the Aruban authorities. They haven't received a copy yet.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right, well what takes so long? FedEx can do it overnight.
DESOUSA: I have no clue. My guess is as good as yours. The FBI promised that they would have it here as soon as possible but they haven't received it yet.
VAN SUSTEREN: Are there any other persons of interest or suspects other than the three who were in custody and are now released?
DESOUSA: I don't know if there are any other suspects. I know that there are persons of interest. They have been persons of interest and the ones that have been interviewed are being re-interviewed and there are new people being interviewed as well.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right. Did anyone actually say anything like did Karin Janssen or the deputy police chief say we talked to this witness, this witness said this or we saw this new piece of evidence" rather than just we're moving forward? This isn't a cold case. Did they actually give you some hardcore evidence?
DESOUSA: There were some details of the investigation given as much as possible, you know, in order not to jeopardize the investigation but I can't elaborate on that. I'm not authorized to divulge any of that.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right. Without saying what the evidence was, is it physical evidence or is it statements that one of the suspects might have made?
DESOUSA: We're talking about statements where, as you know, everybody is still looking for physical evidence as to where Natalee's whereabouts are. If there is any other physical evidence, I can't elaborate on that either.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right, do you expect any re-arrests in the next two weeks or three weeks?
DESOUSA: It's difficult for me to say. The tapes, they're waiting on the tapes and to see first of all, I think Mr. Dompig already elaborated on that, they need to be authenticated and if so, they need to be revised and depending on that result, if what he said or what was aired on Dr. Phil or if there is more on that, there is a possibility, yes.
VAN SUSTEREN: All right. Well we'll put heat on this end to get the FBI to get those tapes over to you Vinda. Thank you.
DESOUSA: Thank you, Greta. Thank you very much.

Over Two Tons of Cocaine Seized Off Coast of Aruba

by Jim Kouri, CPP - Suspected foul-play involving American teenager Natalee Holloway isn't the only big crime story in Aruba these days. Known as a favorite transshipment for drug traffckers, the waters surrounding Aruba were the scene of a major drug interdiction operation by US officials.
United States federal agents seized 4,488 pounds of cocaine on board the Bolivian-flagged vessel M/V Sea Atlantic at approximately 150 nautical miles off the coast of Aruba. The seizure was part of Operation Caribbean Corridor, an investigative/law enforcement initiative by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the US Coast Guard in the Caribbean Basin.
The Sea Atlantic, sailing under the Bolivian flag, raised the interest of law enforcement organizations operating as part of Operation Caribbean Corridor. After successful cooperation between the USCG, the international counter drug organization Joint Inter- Agency Task Force South, the Royal Netherlands Navy, and the Coast Guard for the Netherlands Antilles and Aruba, more than 65 bales of cocaine were found in a hidden compartment on board the ship.
The USCG Law Enforcement Detachment -- permanently stationed onboard the Royal Netherlands Navy Ship -- boarded the motor vessel, assisted by a Royal Netherlands Navy Maritime security Team. Later that morning, they found 68 bales (approximately 4,488 pounds) of a powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine during a field test.
The crew of the M/V Sea Atlantic was arrested and the ship was escorted to Puerto Rico by the USCG Cutter Vigorous. The following crew members of the M/V Sea Atlantic are now in federal custody, according to arrest reports:
Alicides Rodriguez Duran, 38, citizen of Venezuela
Carlos Julio Almonte, 59, citizen of Dominican Republic
Gandaogo Minoungou, 42, citizen of Burkina Faso
Nii Klaku Okley, 39, citizen of Ghana
Ruberts Jose Gonzalez Valero, 29, citizen of Venezuela
Ronald Jose Morelis, 32, citizen of Venezuela
Julio Cesar de la Rosa, 34, citizen of Dominican Republic
Reinaldo Jose Cabello, 42, citizen of Venezuela
Alberto Javier Padilla, 36, citizen of Mexico
“ICE and the other federal agencies in Operation Caribbean Corridor -- DEA, FBI and the US Coast Guard -- are working together, efficiently and intelligently to stop the transshipment of drugs and other contraband in the Caribbean Basin,” according to officials from ICE.
"US Coast Guard law enforcement detachments have a proud and successful history of intercepting contraband with the Dutch navy in the Caribbean. With the aggressive work of ICE, DEA and the FBI in Operation Caribbean Corridor, our collective resources are maximized as we work together to keep drugs off the streets." Said Captain James Tunstall, Commander, USCG, Sector San Juan.
The crew members arrested will be prosecuted in federal court in Puerto Rico.

This caught my attention:

Notice how the Dutch Navy has no problem letting the US take the lead in this drug bust, yet the FBI was kept on a leash by ALE in Natalee's investigation.
A friend of mine told me about her visit to DMV (Florida). He was almost blind and hard of hearing. It was quite a spectacle how the worker helped him along on his vision test until he 'passed'.
I've met people with close elderly relatives that have driven quite a ways lost (Alzheimers).
Traffic in south Florida is scarey!!

Are you watching Greta? I missed the most important part...what was told on June 9th, that they just told Dave about yesterday or today?
Beth was on Greta saying Joran gave a statement about being on a friend's boat on May 30th. ALE knew about this since June 9th, but Beth doesn't know if they followed this lead or not.
Dave is coming up on Scarbrough next. He is in Aruba.
Dave says the Deepak tape should arrive next week..hand delivered by FBI. (I guess Dompig and Jannsen told the truth about not getting the tape yet.)
Based on ALE investigation they are pinpointing areas to search. Dompig directed the search to specific areas.
Dave sounding positive about Dompig...cautiously postive.

I got the impression Joran's boat ride was during the time after they left CnC's with Natalee, but I'm not certian about that. The boat belongs to the father of Joran's friend. Beth know the name but she didn't think she should release that name just yet.

I agree. I think Dave Holloway is a very nice man and he is sincere. However, in regards to this case, he is SINCERELY WRONG!! He is simply keeping the door open for the ALE to jerk him around and spew their claptrap!! I'm sorry he is doing this because really he is in effect, harming the case. As long as they can play with him, this won't get solved and time is being wasted.
Yeah I noticed that too. I wish the FBI would or could come out and start telling just how PATHETIC this investigation regarding Natalee has been and just how TERRIBLE they have been treated. Then for the Aruban Law Enforcement and their media lackeys to keep going on TV and blabbing that they have been "cooperating" with the FBI all through the investigation. what a bunch of hot air that is.

I did watch it and heard that very statement also. Beth mentioned the Fishermen's Huts that were broken into and the "missing" crab trap. Wouldn't it be wonderful if they found Natalee in a weighted down crab trap????
