Surinamese Deepak Kalpoe, 21, arrives to court in Oranjestad, Aruba, Friday, Aug. 26, 2005. Aruban police arrested Kalpoe and his brother Satish, 18, along with a third person according to government spokesman Ruben Trapenberg, saying he doesn't know if the arrests are connected to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Two Surinamese brothers, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe, who had been detained and released in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway were arrested again Friday based on new evidence, officials said. The brothers were detained on suspicion of involvement, with unidentified 'other people,' in premeditated murder and rape, the prosecutor's office said. Person to the right is unidentified. From post 2516:
ABRAMS: Snip...It went on to say the public prosecutors office does not have to justify its action with regard to the persecution of criminal acts to the Minister of Justice or the government of Aruba. It sounds like theyre saying that you (Beth) filed something either with the government of Aruba or the Minister of Justice.
TWITTY: Well you know, theres been a lot of concerned parties about this investigation. So I think that itsthere would be so many that you would line up, we might all have to take a number, Dan.
ABRAMS: But have you filedhave you or lawyers on your behalf filed any papers with the government of Aruba or the Minister of Justice or any other agency in Aruba saying they have missed up this investigation?
TWITTY: I cant comment on that at this time.
Snip...ABRAMS: Let me ask Chris Lejuez, who joins us now, who is an attorney down there. Chris, were talking about this news that the Aruban authorities have released this statement, a very rare statement basically saying the investigation is ongoing, and then going on to say how someone who is a concerned party in a criminal case can file a complaint.
It sure sounds to me like they are respondingBeth cant comment one way or the other on whether she has filed something, but it sure sounds to me like they are responding to something that has been filed and they are basically saying it was filed the wrong way.
CHRIS LEJUEZ, ARUBAN ATTORNEY: No. No, that is not what theyre saying. What they are saying is that we know in Aruba a very special procedure for anyone who feels that the prosecutor should prosecute, should cite someone to court, to trial. There is a special procedure if you find that the prosecutor is not doing her job right, then you can start that procedure by filing a special claim...
ABRAMS: Right.
LEJUEZ: ... in the courts of Aruba against the prosecutor to import the prosecutor to take someone to trial.
That is very kind of you to say, Justche.
I can be very determined and focused, as Beth is now.
But this 'blame the victim' mentality just sends me over the edge. It's one of my 'button's and when pushed...I become enraged. Beth has my admiration.
Short of Kennedy and Clinton, (oh and Willie Brown) I just don't really remember so much doublespeak with criminal investigations!
That is good news. I hesitate to get too excited about it because look who she's filing the complaint with...more of the same corrupt Dutch and Arubans.
The only hope is for some honest souls to take control of the investigation and for the corrupt to be taken down. Honest souls seem to be few and far between in this investigation, if they exist at all.
From post 2501:
Beth met with Alabama Governor Bob Riley. Beth states that the Dutch law and government failed Natalee. She says she had been respectful long enough of the Dutch government; however, now it is time to get some help to get this case resolved. She leaves the idea of going to Holland open.
I think the legislature of Alabama passed a resolution to boycott Aruba until Natalee is found. Maybe the Alabama governor has some game plan to apply pressure on The Netherlands government.
What is really needed as a federal travel advisory against Americans going to Aruba.
The Aruba Strategic Task Force on Communications is in a panic about boycott. The government is not in good financial condition. Rudy Croes wants to shut Beth up. Which shows just how much she is damaging their coverup of the crimes against Natalee.
Dompig onn Fox News talking about not searching the Sloot's main home. He makes a point of saying the judge decided on that and the judge was brought in from another island. He was trying to distance Aruba from that screw up.
Justche, I caught Beth's response to Megyn's awful question. Megyn included the other recently missing girl who was just found dead, Taylor. Generally, Beth said the girls never had a chance against their attackers.
She says she had been respectful long enough of the Dutch government; however, now it is time to get some help to get this case resolved.

Darn right, Beth!!

Absolutely, Shebacal!! You've summed it up nicely. This is very good to hear.
I have to chuckle a bit because it appears the ALE are getting the 'good cop/bad cop' routine pulled on them by Beth and Dave.
Thanks for the transcript. I watched that show with the interview of Beth this evening. I hope Beth is well...she is sooo thin that all her bones stick out (on her neck).
I hope she finds peace some day.
Very good!
Beth said the last she heard, Dr Phil's show had not recieved any request from the ALE.
So is Dompig lying about Dr Phil's stipulation of giving the tape to the prosecutor on his show?
It was nice to hear Dompig say new evidence raised his interest in the three thugs as suspects. But that sounds a lot like things we've heard before and nothing ever materialized.
Good cop/bad cop might be a routine never used by ALE for lack of even one good cop. So they might not recognize it.
DOMPIG:...We have put in an official request through the prosecutor to the Dr. Phil show. The response was that we could get the tapes if the prosecutor participated in a show where she was handed over the tapes on the air. Of course, we dont want to participate in a show.
By refusing to participate in Dr. Phil's show, the ALE can forestall the possibility of receiving the Deepak tape and having to deal with it.
Dutch law is so different - does anyone know whether (what we would consider) entrapment is allowed?
A female mercenary (former IDF would be sweet) could get a long way with Joran, I suspect.
Good move!
I can't answer your question, but I did like the mental image you helped to create in my mind. I imagined it a little differently though. Who needs LE when you've got a mercenary?
And if it were a female mercenary with some emotional investment in this type of case...she'd do the best torturous job possible and do it all for no charge.
