Surinamese Deepak Kalpoe, 21, arrives to court in Oranjestad, Aruba, Friday, Aug. 26, 2005. Aruban police arrested Kalpoe and his brother Satish, 18, along with a third person according to government spokesman Ruben Trapenberg, saying he doesn't know if the arrests are connected to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. The two brothers had been previously detained and released. (AP Photo/Pedro Famous Diaz)

Two Surinamese brothers, Satish and Deepak Kalpoe, who had been detained and released in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway were arrested again Friday based on new evidence, officials said. The brothers were detained on suspicion of involvement, with unidentified 'other people,' in premeditated murder and rape, the prosecutor's office said. Person to the right is unidentified. Really, some of the psalms where David requests that God would break the teeth (and other bones) of his enemies, ought to make you feel better. If it's good enough for David to pray... (no sarcasm intended, so no /sarc included.)
My state has been digging out for the past two weeks and I'll have to admit I've been suffering from a little PTSD myself.
Everyone is fine at the Malichi Estate, though.
I have a queston about the Team Amber Alert link posted up thread by Monkeywrench. Why does it lock up my computer when I click on it? Why does it say something about Aruba Internet Cafe in my task manager when I shut down Internet Explorer? Did Deepak hack the site?
And lastly, what about that Natural Bridge? See a US cellphone will receive calls on Aruba.
TAW
I sent an email to the Dutch Ambassador to the US expressing my anger at the release of these suspects and stressed that I will never spend another vacation dollar there if this case is not solved, that I will join fellow Americans in the boycott of Aruba. The email address is:

I'm so glad that Malichi is safe and posting! Thanks for letting us hear from you!
Special thanks to justche for bailing me out of my self-guilt-trip.
Well, what did you think of Beth on Nancy Grace? I thought it was a rehash and I wish I'd seen her telling that Natalee was in Joran's room. I try to like Nancy Grace but I just can't quite do it. She seems hard and the 'flow' of the show is choppy. Just MHO.
Glad all is well with you and your family, Malichi. Been praying for you . . .
Sorry I have no idea baout that link. :o(
Hey Malichi...So good to know that you and your family are doing okay. You guys had it a lot worse than we did up here. I have been watching for word from you and am glad to see your post. (Did you make it to the big game? hotty toddy!)
Holland's 'experiment' will bring that country to ruins. Decent people will not want to live in that environment much longer. Those people will flee to other countries while Holland will attract the scum. Pretty soon it will be the epitome of a socialist cesspool. And yes...that's exactly where the VDS family belongs...in a cesspool.
Mark my spot

I don't know about that link. I haven't heard of anyone else having trouble with it.
I was watching a show on PBS a couple of weeks ago with Andre Rieu, the orchesta conductor from Holland. He and his orchestra were performing in Holland. A pretty young lady reporterette went with Andre for a tour of his mansion.
She asked him a question about something, and his answer began with, "You know, it's like sex. It starts slow and then builds..." You could tell that the reporterette was totally embarrassed. His comment was so inappropriate. But I guess in Holland anything goes.
"I guess in Holland anything goes."
I think you're right. Denmark and Sweden, too. I believe it's legal even to have sex with a child of 12! Sorry, I didn't mean to make you sick!
Whoever said "cesspool" you hit the nail on the head. Parent shouldn't even teach kids to drive, much less take sexual advantage of others! And I have a nasty feeling that Paulus taught that kid everything he knows.
I think Urine brought Natalee home to share with Daddy. I'm convinced that daddy raped her along with the others. Remember, Anita was outa the country. Paulus was protecting HIMSELF when he proclaimed " No body, no crime."
"Paulus was protecting HIMSELF when he proclaimed " No body, no crime."
No body, no traceable DNA
I saw Beth Twitty on Miss Grace's show last night. Whatever she knows she is holding it pretty close to the vest. She did mention having translations of interviews in which J.VdS. contradicts previous stories. There was also the contention, supported I thin by the judge's remarks, that the suspect was released so as not to conflict with his college studies.
And what about Natalees' college studies. She would be at the U. of Alabama right now as a freshman pre-med student, paid for by an academic scholarship.
I would love a crack at Urine or his father. I'd get them to talk, me and my Brazilian Heavy Machete. First the finger, then the wrist, then the elbow and finally the shoulder.Believe me, they'd tell me what I wanted to know.
MAWG - I have had this same thought since the very beginning. The way that man was sweating had me convinced that he was part of the initial crime against her - the drugging and raping.
And I don't think it was the first time, not for either of them. Father and son rapefests - isn't that special?
If I were Anita, I'd have cleaned out the bank accounts and vanished into thin air after dying my hair black...
In all due respect, something doesn't feel right about that.
Raging hormones are just a distant memory for Paulus and, on a island where prostitution is legal, why would a lawyer (a risk-averse, analytical, detail-oriented nerd) get involved in a high-risk, legally-dangerous, potential career-ending, potentially marriage-ending, purely sensual adventure with his own son (yuck). Behaviorally and practically, the odds are greatly against it. Not only is Paulus not a player, he is a Nervous Nelly. He would wet his pants just thinking about the dangers of date rape.
In another vein, Paulus's comment "no body, no crime" is what a grifter would call a "tell". It unwittingly reveals what Paulus is trying to hide. It is a quirk, a lawyer's slip, that let's us know how strong is Paulus's hand.
Taken at face value (and not embellishing it at all), he is saying that the body is not hidden or buried or even tossed in the ocean. He is telling his son and the other two jerks to keep their mouths shut, because without a body, there is no crime. He didn't say "keep quiet and let's hope they don't find the body" He said essentially "there is no body to be found." Given that lawyers by training use precise language, for him to say there is no body, he is saying either he has fist-hand knowledge (or very strong second-hand knowledge from someone he trusts) that the body was completely incinerated...or that she is still alive.
But, of course, I might be completely off base here.
awww man, and here I thought I always agreed with ya *LOL*
I still think the majority on this list are thinking like 'normal non - criminal, non-deviant' folks. I don't think that's how Paulus thinks. I am on the side that believes Paulus absolutely participated in whatever event happened that night---I think he's told Mrs. head in the sand enough that she believes Natalee is still alive--I just don't think he's been honest about where exactly and the conditions she's alive.
Am I understanding that Rape is not a crime at all in Aruba/Netherlands? Then maybe it wouldn't be career crushing except that it became international news???
The judge has released the ruling for the appeal that the prosecutor made in this case, (see SM front page) in regard to the 3 being turned loose. Surprise! Surprise! They remain "suspects" but are free to go wherever they please.
