On Aug. 12, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson declared a state of emergency "due to a chaotic situation involving illegal alien smuggling and illegal drug shipments" on his southern border. Three days later, Gov. Janet Napolitano followed suit in Arizona.
Reason: the crisis on the border. The ally-ally-in-free immigration policy of George Bush and Vicente Fox, beloved of corporate America, has created a hell on our southern border.
Those Southwestern states are being inundated by illegal aliens trashing ranches, killing cattle, committing crimes and eating up tax dollars. The traffic in narcotics and human beings from Mexico is a national scandal and a human rights disgrace.
What is true of New Mexico and Arizona is true of our nation, which is now home to an estimated 10 million to 15 million aliens who have broken our laws and broken into our country. It is a mark of the cowardice of our . . .

Do you know Bush called for an amnesty/guest worker program way back in 2001? Obviously he knows there's a problem it's just the solution he's seeking that has most people disagreeing with him on.
PJB is an aging *ss on many issues.
But on the issue of illegal immigration PJB is absolutely right. And when PJB says the President has shown a "conscious refusal to uphold his oath and defend the states of the Union against "invasion."", he is absolutely right again.
Another good point. The blame goes far beyond the oval office.
" Do you know Bush called for an amnesty/guest worker program way back in 2001? "
we call it the "Bush Shamnesty", as trademarked by another freeper
What's he's doing is stating the obvious.....which concerns the obvious political strategy of Hillary et al to seize this as a key issue to gain support. Bush et al are giving her and the Dems a golden opportunity to turn public opinion in their direction and if this continue we will definitely see history repeat itself.........a lame Bush presidency handing over the country to another 'Alinsky/Marxist' Clinton.
Is failure to protect the sovereign borders of a nation in order to facilitate the policital, sociial and economic integration of the countries of the western hemisphere a high crime against the American people?
Is using federal governmental agencies to further the integtration of the western hemsiphere, politically, socially and economically, a high crime against the American people?
Is appointing a 'permanent minister' to a supranational parliament a high crime?
Is following the directives from a supranational organization, the Summit of the Americas, on 'migration' and remittances, without consent from the American people a high crime against them?
Alexander Hamilton explained impeachable offenses as those offences which proceed from the misconduct of public men, or in other words from the abuse or violation of some public trust. They are of a nature which may with peculiar propriety be denominated political, as they relate chiefly to injuries done immediately to the society itself.
Is the president injuring society through his collusion with Mexico and South America to allow illegal immigration?
Is the president violating the public trust by using federal agencies to promote the integration of the United States with the countries in the Western Hemisphere through the NAFTA, CAFTA and the FTAA?
Please. His "solution" is to make the problem ten times worse.
A shamnesty is what it is, there's no other word to call it.
Well, if one's in favor of open borders, importing more drugs, diseases, criminals and the dissolution of our national sovereignty then it's obviously a little more critical than a simple 'policy issue'.
Okay, now Pat's just being a jackass. Isn't he for open borders anyway?
Although we agree impeachment isn't the answer to a good Man In The WHITE HOUSE, who understands the world situation, we do not understand his non border approach. O'Reilly had someone on a week ago who had what seems to be a very logical answer to the border war....take away absolutely everything these illegals come for...jobs (get the employers), welfare, no free hospital use, no sending of US money back to wherever (Mexico, South America and on) no social security, no drivers licenses, no NOTHING! If it all drys up, America is no longer the big buddy of Mexico and anywhere else they come from for FREE!! Make these illegals understand they are NOT WELCOME! If they want to come, get in line, apply for citizenship, learn English, our laws, our culture and history. To come here, immigrants need to buy their way in by having a job resume, good health and money to support themselves for a year or two. If you become an American, you are no longer Mexican, or French, or Jamacian. You are American, and you think of yourself that way. Go anywhere in the world, and that is what you find in all OTHER countries. We are a free country, but giving away that freedom takes it from all of us. NO MORE!! President Bush is a great President, but he falls far short on this issue and illegal immigration may just define his Presidency, which would be tragic.
I disagree. After 9/11, GWB chad widespread support to address all issues affecting national security. I remember after 9/11 thinking we would finally tackle this issue. Boy how naive was I??
GWB refuses to do his job because he supports low wages for big business and the entire CFR agenda.
If we are attacked again because of his failures in this regard, he deserves the consequences, whatever they may be since he had a golden opportunity to address it and did nothing but call our own citizens vigilantes and tell us family values don't stop at the border.
Correct. It's a "survival" issue. It's also not a single issue but multiple; it ranges from our economy to sovereignty to national security.
Presumably if there were votes to impeach President Bush on immigration there would be far more votes to pass immigration reform that would make the impeachment unnecessary.
Just about everyone you talk to knows that yet there they are in Congress giving it serious consideration.
Bush is not the first POTUS to offer amnesty...essentially you have to start somewhere.
I understand that illegal immigration is a problem, but I also understand that I benefit from the labors of illegal immigrants...rightly or wrongly, many are already in service positions, which enable and better my life and lives of others around me...but an illegal immigrant is an illegal immigrant, is an illegal immigrant, right? So, what do you do? Do you mine the border? Do you have Predator drones surveil the boder using deadly force against families trekking across the NM desert? It's a tough call.
Honestly, and perhaps ironically, my answer is probably the most militant of all...place the pressure on Vicente Fox..tell him, he either solves Mexico's corruption problem...and border issues...or we will for him, Teddy Roosevelt style...because in the end...the Root cause of Southern Illegal immigration, is sadly, Mexico herself.
You and I have the same idea on our taglines, we just used different variations.
