On Aug. 12, New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson declared a state of emergency "due to a chaotic situation involving illegal alien smuggling and illegal drug shipments" on his southern border. Three days later, Gov. Janet Napolitano followed suit in Arizona.
Reason: the crisis on the border. The ally-ally-in-free immigration policy of George Bush and Vicente Fox, beloved of corporate America, has created a hell on our southern border.
Those Southwestern states are being inundated by illegal aliens trashing ranches, killing cattle, committing crimes and eating up tax dollars. The traffic in narcotics and human beings from Mexico is a national scandal and a human rights disgrace.
What is true of New Mexico and Arizona is true of our nation, which is now home to an estimated 10 million to 15 million aliens who have broken our laws and broken into our country. It is a mark of the cowardice of our . . .

Do Cindy and Buchanan speak for you?Why do you continue this fallacy of guilt by association approach? Many democrats voted for the war in Iraq - does that mean that the democrats speak for you?
Why not just stick to the issue rather than try to muddy the water with logical fallacies?

Another reply to my comment about the anti-illegals being anti-Iraq war without denying that it is true.

After the guest workers law is enacted this Fall we know we can count on your support. Your praise of guest workers will be good to hear. If anyone criticizes the guest workers will can depend upon you and your ping list to call them traitors for not supporting the rule of law of guest workers. If that happens, I'll make a no-brainer prediction. The tsunami wave of anger won't be directed at the illegals.

But you don't deny that you and the other anti-illegals are opposed to the War in Iraq.

10 PERCENT of Mexico lives illegally in the USA and send back more money than any Mexican industry makes for Mexico.
In a time of war, our own conservative republican President encourages an invasion of our southern border by millions, refuses to control our southern border and calls those patriotic citizens who do, Vigilantes.
But wouldn't impeaching him just put someone else who thinks the same way into office? Now if Tancredo were VP ....but he ain't so we won't. Heck Bush is a good President, just not on certain things.

This administration has been lucky that their open border policy hasn't cost us a great deal more than it already does. They are bought and paid for by the illegal alien lobby to the extent that they are willing to jeopardize us all for the benefit of a chosen few. Some people might find this acceptable but I think it's a criminal act.President Bush might be fighting terror in the middle east but he's an arrogant fool when it comes to protecting us at home.

It's a theme that has become a basic part of the anti-illegals agenda.Should we take this to mean that you are admitting to being pro-illegal immigration?
The anti-illegals movement is an Anti-Bush, anti-business, anti-Republican and anti-Iraq War movement.
Only in your delusional mind. Seriously, you really ought to seek professional help because you're sounding more loony with every post you make.

Lessee....David Horowitz, Rich Lowry, Michelle Malkin...and others---they're all anti-illegals. So, must all be anti-Iraq war.

Why? Bush is letting the country down, not congress (in this instance). Illegal immigration is ALREADY illegal. Bush is the executive in charge of protecting the border, not congress. Do you want congress to pass a law to make it even more illegal? Obviously you don't have a clue how our government works. In order for the executive branch to implement any of the ideas like walls and fences that you people drool over, Congress would first have to appropriate the money. The President cannot simply "close the border" on a whim without the necessary appropriations from Congress. Of course this is just about the Bush haters on FR using this as an excuse to attack the President for a problem that existed long before January 20, 2001.

This part is explosive and hits the bullseye.
"What is true of New Mexico and Arizona is true of our nation, which is now home to an estimated 10 million to 15 million aliens who have broken our laws and broken into our country. It is a mark of the cowardice of our leaders that they are so terrified of being called "bigots" they tolerate this criminality. The moral rot of political correctness runs deep today in both national parties".
To: bayourod
Bush and Rove will defeat Buchanan and Tancredo every time.Really? How come Rove/Bush didn't get a guest worker program (actually, amnesty...) through Congress four years ago, like they wanted? What's that? 9/11? What happened 9/11?

Obviously you don't have a clue how our government works. The fact that Bush repeatedly says that illegals are just doing jobs that americans won't shows that it is not lack of funds that is keeping Bush from securing the border.
The border patrol already exists but Bush will not use them. Tell me, when has Bush approached congress for funding to help secure the border?
There is no way the Bush-bots can blame congress for this.
