I agree, though I find it odd that she would immediately think kidnapping. Maybe I am more of a pessimist but I don't think if I got that call that my first thought would be kidnapping.

I find it strange that the kidnapped aspect was so strong, but its a mother's instinct, and only Beth knew Natalee well.

How does any of this track with the cell phone guy's interview. What call was he referring to?

Heard Jug on the Hannity show this afternoon. Sean asked him about the "shocking" information and Jug downplayed the comment. I've heard him say it a few times so I was sort of confused.

Lisa Pinto doing NG's show on CNN last night mentioned the 2 fishermen and a car. Was that a rumor? (Pinto is having a baby girl in 3 weeks. She has 2 boys. My trivia contribution for the evening)

It seems unlikely that the chaperone who called Beth would have been using a cellphone placed in svc by the aruban company, and also as unlikely that his "major friend" in the US would have any interest in discovering anything nefarious regarding the chaperone and call to Beth.

I think the call referred to in the interview is most certainly a different call. There would be no reason for he and Beth to have listened to her convo with the chaperone 3 times as stated in the interview.

I think if someone who had been to Aruba on a class trip prior to Natalee, told me about local hitting on young female tourists, my first thought might be "kidnapping," too. Doesn't seem strange to me at all. Plus, she might have been consciously or subconsciously worried about that all the time Natalee was away.

And then, of course, there is the inevitable mother's feeling of guilt for ignoring the danger signals.

I just watched Greta on Tivo and I was a bit disappointed. I thought she had said in an interview earlier today that there had been a phone call, possibly from Natalee, at 1 am Aruba time, and THAT was how she "knew" Natalee was kidnapped. Was there a call in the middle of the night to a Twitty or Holloway telling them Natalee was kidnapped, or not?

This explanation was just about the call Beth received from the chaperone when they discovered her missing.

The big "I KNEW she was kidnapped" was only a mother's intuition, because Natalee was never late for anything? I bet Natalee never got into a car alone with three strange men before, either. Don't get me wrong, my heart breaks for Beth, but I was hoping they had evidence in a phone call that was enough to get the state troopers and FBI right on the case, and not just "I KNOW my daughter MUST have been kidnapped!"
