wonder what the twittys will do now? They've said that they know more than what they've said up 'til now. And that what they know is sickening. If they schedule that presser, it'll probably be to spill some of it and embarrass the Aruban government.

I just don't know....I'm befuddled. Reasonable suspicion and Joran can appeal. I think if I'm Beth, I start screaming!

The question is whether the brothers' have had their passports confiscated....according to Dutch law....who knows? Carol McKinley said that that will be the questions that they will be asking.
Also Carol states that if Joran is detained for these 60 days the case will go to court according to Dutch law. Joran is still not charged, he is being held under reasonable suspicion. Carol states that Joran is a teen that is very confident of himself.

I think they should talk. They aren't getting anywhere anyway, and two of the suspects have just been released. The 'cowboys' bluff has just been called.
If they don't get anything definitive against Sloot, I say he walks after the 60 days. BUT, who knows, maybe his laywer will appeal and he will get out soon.
I think they may as well spill the beans. They have nothing to lose, they are not getting justice anyway.
To: mewzilla
At this point, they really have nothing to lose. The perp isn't gonna talk and it looks like Natalee won't ever be found. Just pathetic!
To: kcvl
Having a set number of days w/out additional evidence before he can be charged gives Joran an incentive to hold out. Damn Dutch law; it encourages that smug smile on his face.

Carol states that Joran is a teen that is very confident of himself. And Carol said that his friends say he is out all night gambling and drinking. Did his mother and father lie to us?! /sarcasm

You think? Mr. VDS hid the body well....
To: kcvl
Brothers released immediately....garbled whatever she said about Joran
To: kcvl
Have the crypts in the graveyard near the Sloot's house been investigated? I still think that would be a good and convenient place to "hide" a body.

Court clerk is reading decision...Kalpoe brothers will be released immediately, Joran held for 60 days, lawyer is prohibited to be present at the hearing as of today.
I don't know which lawyer she was referring to in the last sentence.

Twitty press conf in about 2 hours, from Carol McKinley.
To: Carolinamom
Have the crypts in the graveyard near the Sloot's house been investigated? Yes, the search team did that almost immediately because they were told by locals those should be checked.
Beth is deciding whether to hold a news conference with the information they have. Natalee's family is furious!

Wouldn't the Kalpoe brothers be considered accessories? How could they be permitted to leave the island?
