You also know that these people bravely calling the cops names won't hesitate a second to call 911 when they need help.
If I called 911 at work, I worried that the police could have called for were busy "baby sitting" and not ready to show up. I support the cops as I support our troops, regardless if I cooperate or agree with their duty.
Anytime I have had been in a place where police were involved, and I can't comply with what they asked of me, I answer calmly, "That is not a lawful order, Officer". I have only ever been escorted away. I do not think falling limp is a good tactic, and neither do they.
What they did with the children and seeing the Schindlers did not accompany the "protesters" in the Styrofoam cup episodes, I think this was reprehensible. It was cheap theatrics, for the TV cameras and had no purpose. Ghandi was always the first person to be arrested.

But sending kids out to do your dirty work makes great television, and scores more points with "the base" than it would if you sent out some Joe Schmoe off the street...
A few well-placed images of children being cuffed and arrested by the police is guaranteed to get a certain segment of the population up in arms...
And that was the idea. I bet donations really kicked into high gear after that.
