My mother died of liver cancer that had unknowingly metastized from the colon cancer that she thought was all gone after surgery 4 years before. Before she died, it had spread to her lungs and her spine.
She died at home, thanks to the hospice nurses who came daily. She had her own DNR, but we never needed it.
Mum's metastasis was right where the ascending colon bends to the transverse colon, directly under the liver.
