We reject all accusations of Naziism, "death cultism", or other slander as methods of debate. We reject the practice of "spamming" multiple threads, of posting unending vanities, and the posting of propaganda and calls for violence. We reject, in fact, all unseemly and childish behavior which has come to characterize this case on FR.Bump for sanity.
To: Chad Fairbanks
When ya get right down to it, isn't pretty much everything on FR a 'self-agrandizing circle jerk', whether it be the Schiavo threads, CrEvo threads, immigration threads, WoSD Threads, etc... etc...? Some, more than others. ;)

Just out of curiosity, do you two believe that the state should be vested with the power to decide whether to continue care for a comatose or PVS patient?

So this is where all the sane people have been hiding!
To: Kryptonite
There isn't much logical discussion, so participation has dwindled.

Not off hand. I'm at work so it's hard. But the case was Biersack, back in December. I'll try to find it later. Mrs. Biersack had no living will but they ruled that witnesses were enough. They do still require 2 doctors to agree on the diagnosis, et.al.

I'll question your manifesto's statement that TS threads do not warrant participation as long as it exists.
I've had several of your disciples tell me exactly the opposite today when I urged them to venture outside the sbr.
But yet, here they have signed on with their own sbr manifesto living wills. Tsk, tsk, tsk.
I wonder, can I use "death merchants" on this thread, without being insulted as an insane, emotional moron? Or do I have to actually prove that there is a death industry in America that is very pleased with the prospects for future business right now, before I can use "death merchants"?
To: thoughtomator
Because this is not euthanasia.

Bing! Bang! Boom!
I don't know if you've got a fan club. I don't know if ther are any openings. But I want in!
Beautiful. ;) I'm a fan of Chad too. I don't feel that I got binged, banged, or boomed. Don't be ridiculous.
To: unbalanced but fair
Thanks. That should be enough to go on (all hail westlaw).

I already have one outstanding question to you, but I'll add another for the heck of it. Were the doctors and medical administrators who made the decision in the Sun Hudson case "death merchants"?

I'll question your manifesto's statement that TS threads do not warrant participation as long as it exists. I've had several of your disciples tell me exactly the opposite today when I urged them to venture outside the sbr. So... we're criticized for engaging in "group think" (#730), and now we're criticized for thinking for ourselves.
Can you guys make up your minds?

Johnny Cochran is dead per MSNBC, after a long illness. Yikes. I didn't care for the guy but may he rest in peace.
