The usual. Death camps. Slaughter of innocents. Political murder. I think it included a reference to Stalin too. Isn't it surprising how many otherwise level headed conservatives here are allegedly in complete agreement with historical evil-doers (Hitler, Mussolini, Stalin, Lenin, Amin, Pol Pot, Goldfinger, you name it)?

You are the one that said Terri Schiavo is dead. I want to know what minimum level of functioning you require for someone to be alive, please. I am not fighting with you. Just seeking some clarification.

Praying!
I also read most of the threads...but was not about to become embroiled in a name-calling, free-for-all.

She is brain damaged, not brain dead.
To: atlaw
Well, I was just wondering if you were under house arrest......LOL.
To: Howlin
Yes. So what does that mean?
To: Scarlet7
"She is brain damaged, not brain dead."
What's the clinical difference?

It very well could mean that she didn't do it and they don't want you to see it.
To: verity
plenty of difference, clinically and legally.

"Oh, I see the difference. And as I noted a few posts down from that which you didn't conveniently post, I was posting what Dan Abrams on MSNBC was reporting."
Could you be more specific? I did post that you were referenceing Don Abrams, in fact I quoted your entire post in my response to you (post 1591).
But you fail to see the contentious words you are prone to using, and it is a poor refelection on your call for a 'reasoned' approach to this discussion.
Peach: "That IS still what we do on Free Republic, is it not? "
Here, I'll re-post what you wrote once more-- so I can't be accused of not conveniently posting again:
"HEADS UP EVERYBODY:
Dan Abrams reported on MSNBC that the Schindlers will send you a photograph of their daughter in her hospital bed, wasting away. If you send them $100.
Yes. You heard that right. $100 for a picture of a dying Terri."
I would like to have had a direct quote of what he said. Or a link to a video clip.
Further, I feel that the editorializing done on your part is in complete opposition to the stand you have taken as a WPPFF member.

So the first time doesn't count?

You really gotta see this one...

All those judges watched all the tapes. Around 5 total hours, unedited.
They saw more of her not following ballons, music, hands, fingers, etc. than we have.
Hence, they made their decisions.
Schindlers couldn't "fool" the judges.
I'd like to see all 5 hours of those tapes.

Now you're being disengenuous; but thank you for playing.

I never suggested they were the same. I merely requested definitions of each. If you can provide a reference or a synopsis of the definitions I would appreciate it.

In the last week alone, there have been over a dozen articles about that tape and how misleading it is. I haven't saved them but they are on FR if you don't mind looking through the other 500 Terri articles.
The Schindlers also should stop lying. Terri's sister has been on television all week saying that Terri never had a heart attack and therefore the reason for her PVS is mysterious.
No one ever said she had a heart attack and the sister knows it. Terri had cardiac arrest, an entirely different thing.
THen the sister has gone on to talk mysteriously about broken bones and the family just wants to know about those. Terri did have one single solitary broken bone when she presented at the hospital. Not one. SHe had a hairline fracture in two places. One where EMS may have done CPR before they realized she was still breathing and the other in her neck from her fall.
Go to Trinity_Tx home page on Free Republic; it's all there. The hospital discharge summary. The doctors, neurologists, etc.
Then ask yourself, if Terri had broken bones when she got to the hospital, why didn't the doctor mention them or treat them?
If the family truly believed that Michael tried to strangle Terri, why did they wait 12 years to make the charge? Why didn't the doctors and Terri's family notice bruise marks? When the doctors were sued by Michael for malpractice, why didn't they defend themselves and say "we didn't do anything wrong, Michael tried to kill her"?
How can you explain her low potassium? Her low calcium? Her malnourished state? Her bone loss due to bulimia? Those things are NOT connected to Michael trying to kill her.
Why would all these doctors lie about her condition? Neurologist? Therapist? Terri's OWN parents admitted under oath she's PVS.
And PVS patients make spontaneous gestures and noises and eye movements.

Unless it is repeatable, it may merely be coincidenceDing ding ding! We have a winner, who will likely be ignored.
