The United Church of Christ (UCC) stooped to a new low by poting this picture on their homepage - with a woman grabbing SpongeBob by the crotch!

You sound like "TampaBayMom" who had her skivvies in a tizzy over a teddy bear.
fine valid issue. However it remains that there is an image of two homosexual women with a spongebob doll in order to teach children that sponce bob accepts homosexuality. The effort is spong bob loves homosexuals. =Children love sponge bob. =Children love homosexuals.
It is just more propaganda which would make Goebles proud.
I don't see a save sponge bob from the homosexuals campaign.
The original "controversy" was not about Spongebob, but rather the use of Spongebob in a corporate/government child indoctrination program with homosexual antecedents. Sadly, the MSM has managed another successful divert-and-ridicule mission, and the UCC is now an accomplice (willing or otherwise).
Yep, it's the same church... but the trolls in here have a probably believing that this church *might* have an agenda...
that is exactly right!
you do mean "problem believing"?
Oooops.... typing faster than I'm thinking.... good catch
Oh, I totally agree with you that there's an issue to be dealth with about whether this cartoon character is being used to promote homosexuality. My problem is with someone who wants to drag the discussion in the gutter claiming he seees some seamy sexual undertone to what looks to me like an innocent photo. That just makes the legitimate complaints look silly.
OK... I'll get my head out of the gutter when you get yours out of the sand.
(1) ordain the first openly gay man (William Johnson, 1972)
(2) ordain the first openly lesbian woman (Anne Holmes, 1977)
In 1973, The United Church Coalition for Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Concerns was formed. In 1998-NOV, Rev. Paul H. Sherry, President of the UCC, commented that the coalition "has been a prophetic presence in our church, clarifying concerns, challenging stereotypes, providing leaders for every setting of the church's life, gently and persistently changing hearts and minds, providing a refuge for those who have suffered wounds of prejudice and exclusion in church and society...
Just some of many things about this church, personally I think the woman on the left looks a bit "Gay" for you PC types.
They are betting on parents liking Spongebob enough to put up with whatever they link him to. Not a bad bet, from the looks of things here.
exactly!
What does the AFA find unfit about the televison show Spongebob Squarepants? I have watched Spongebob since it began and have not once seen any hint of characters being homosexual. Can anyone give a exact episode where Spongebob is showing sexual attration to anyone or anything. I always thought spongebob had a crush on that squriel from texas!
Are you kidding me? Who says SpongeBob is gay? It's not about SpongeBob... it's about groups that are using cartoon characters to make homosexuality more acceptable.
She's grabbing a SPONGE!!!
Indeed.
It looks to me like she has her hand on Spongebob's butt...if he has a butt...which he may not, since he's a sponge...AND A CARTOON SPONGE AT THAT!!!!
