Exactly, because the mid-range shot became pointless as you could get one more point for going 1-3 feet out further, which reduces FG pct.

But yes, the game has looked MUCH better this year. I think teams needed an adjustment period to zone D and the young talent had to develop a bit more.

Wade and Lebron are absolutely murdering the competition. Some beautiful ball is being played, even though there are still ugg-fests, but that's ALWAYS been there. People act like every game in basketball 15-20 years ago was an epic tilt for the ages.

who actually tossed the cup that "started" it.

Reminds me of a party we threw when I was younger. At college we had this thing where you would flick your bottle cap from your beer at the back of one of your buddies heads. Was a silly thing. Was throwing a party with some of the crew and flicked a cap at a buds head and missed. It hit this bull dyke (someones sister) in the back of the head instead. I almost died laughing, bending over holding my sides laughing. I am bent over trying not to tear up because I thought it was so funny. Within 10 seconds all hell broke loose. Guntherette was on the war path. Bloodies 4 guys noses, and keeps going like a banshee from hell. It took 4 BIG guys to restain her long enough to get her to her calm down.

It is a moment in my life I will never forget.

Yes. I saw another angle and he makes a perfect Jumpshot of beer cup onto Artest. It's definitely him. The one who then punches Artest from behind after not manning up and owning up to it being HIM that threw it. He let Artest charge after that other dude and didn't stand up. Punk.

Maybe Artest is auditioning to be the opening act on Monday Night Football next week. After all, since lowest common denominator T&A worked so well last week, why not a full-scale NBA brawl this week to promote their NBA package?

Then Ron can end it with one of the numbers from his rap album so he can promote himself (or "hiss-seff" as they say in the Hood), Next, he and Hank Williams Jr. can do a duet...

I understand what you're saying about spending that much money, I agree.

But even if it was far less, these guys would still far more than most people. That's what I was referring to in my post.

I can't afford to go to pro games except for one or two, baseball and basketball have some cheap seats which are OK, but pro football is damn near prohibitive and I LOVE football.

I couldn't tell if the cop was threatening Artest or Reggie Miller, who, while in street clothes, was trying to restrain Artest by grabbing him. Maybe the cop thought Miller was simply another nut that left his paid seat.

Chances are, if it's a very tall black man nicely dressed, it's an injured player or a coach. And Reggie Miller looks like E.T., for goodness sake -- even I would know who he was! ;)

Naw, just rewatched another angle where they did a replay of it--it was the guy in the hat.

I'll see if they show another angle .. but from what I can tell so far .. it's not clear as to who threw the cup and Artest has his head turned away when the cup hit him

Hilarious that so many people pipe in with comments as absurd as yours.

Point of fact: Most situations where beer is thrown at a player in any sport, you will find that player going after that fan. It's happened before and in other sports, like that gangsta sport hockey, for instance.

But they're nice, respectable, toothless white boys, so it's OK.

No, I'm talking another angle altogether from farther back. It is CLEARLY the guy in the hat. It looks like a local newscast from Detroit or Indiana.

I'm kind of disgusted by some of these keywords.

Seriously, when the guy was beaten down who came onto the ice a couple years back, would they have put "hiphopculture" "Thugsinshorts," etc?

Give me a break.

The (perhaps) unintentional racism and flat out ignorance of these people is pretty amazing. Almost funny in a pathetic way.
