This is breaking. A high speed chase around Sierra Vista and on to Ft. Huachuca has resulted in 7 deaths and 14 injuries.
A stolen car with 5 people inside led police on a high speed chase along the Highway 90 bypass and on to Ft. Huachuca at speeds in excess of 100MPH.
The stolen vehicle hit new barricades at the East Gate Checkpoint and crossed over the median, striking an outbound vehicle.
4 people in the stolen car have died, and 3 other people are also dead. 14 people are injured.
There are no further details regarding the 3 dead or the injured. As the story develops, I will try to post more.
I would have bet money it was illegal aliens.
Only if "B" is the morgue.
Welcome to the party DBR!!
This is true My wife was locked in the area of the Community Hospital at the time this all happened and couldn't get out because the roads immediately around the hospital were closed to only Ambulances and she called on the cell phone to tell me this and that MEDEVAC birds were setting down on the roads only long enough to have the patients put aboard.
Well --- do you suppose that Vicente Fox will offer to pay for the costs and damages his citizens have done? That would be the day.
Max, driving in excess of 100 MPH, reasonably or otherwise, is a "helluva" good way to get from Point A, Earth, to Point B, Heaven. (Or Hell.)
If you get another confirmation/source that the perps were illegal aliens, please ping me. Thanks.....
WHERE DID THIS HAPPEN ??
All these wonderful and thought provoking statements - MAN - and still nobody seems to know where the event took place!! And .. I've been NOT DRINKING longer than you have been alive - MAN!
You must not have read very well, it was posted several times. Sierra Vista, Ft. Huachuca, ARIZONA. Sheesh!
They won't be illegals soon. Surprised nobody has hit this one, tonight. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1247360/posts
In the comments of the post - AZ...
Now you're getting absolutely wacky.
AND I have a pretty stubborn about that Rodney King thing.... Most people don't realize that he was driving like a maniac at tops speeds in a residential area when he was finally stopped. From what I am reading here it sounds like some innocent people were killed and hurt- and for that I am truly sorry. IMO- people who lead police on high speed chases need to be brought up on assault with deadly weapons charges if they aren't killed outright. ( which I don't have an issue with)
I want the police to beat anyone, within an inch of their life who dares to race away from them at 70-80 mph thru the streets close to where my kids play.
Yeah my dad got rerouted at Huachuca City back to 4 Corners through Tombstone and then Charleston Rd to HWY92 just to get home from Tucson.
The illegals were speeding from Mexico.
Conditons in Mexico were intolerable.
Ergo: Fox's fault--Mexico is sued and found guilty.
Exercise in Logic 101.
That one is a good thread --- pretty scary.
A few years ago (Iam sure this can be Googled, I think it was either LA or Dallas) there was a car chase involving a couple of bandits. The chase got extremely dangerous and the cops called it off. They knew by this time who the culprit was and assumed they would catch up to him later.
Unfortunately, this guy was dangerous, just as they had expected. A few hours after the chase he robbed a convenience store and killed two people because he needed to get rid of witnesses so the cops wouldn't tie it in to the high speed chase.
I would not want to be in the cop's shoes who called off this chase. It has to be extremely hard to deal with.
The moral of this story is "Your damned if you do and your damned if you don't"
Amen sister.
