Interesting the article does not mention if those who crossed were men or women, only that they were terrorists. From looking at these pictures these might be the most dangerous yet. They look just like most people here in Arizona. Just change their clothes and they would fit right in. What language do they speak? or with what type of accent?

I live in Arizona and have gleaned the following from local news reports over the past year: The part of the border where many illegal entries are made is where an Indian Reservation lies on the border. Illegals are coming in this way and that part of the border is very hard to police. The Indians have been ambivalent about these entries until they came to the conclusion that the illegals are just trashing the land, littering and tearing up the fragile desert landscape. There is a newspaper in Douglas, Arizona near the border that is constantly reporting that middle eastern men are being caught trying to pass themselves off as Mexicans.

At any rate, our politicians in Arizona just don't get it. The control of the border is the biggest disconnect between elected officials and the public that I have ever seen. The Republicans see the illegals as cheap workers and the Demoncrats see them as cheap votes.

At any rate, in answer to your question, I believe that the Chechens appear to look like gringo's. Gringo's are what the chicano-hispanics call European descent folks.

I heard about this nifty invention. It;s called sonar. It turns out that you can actually detect things floating on water. I know this is a super recent breakthrough and so you might not be up on it. But I figure that could probably be pretty useful in detecting floating smugglers.

And the logistics, manpower, and time it would take to completely secure our massively long borders would make simply going to the moon look like building a barbeque pit over a weekend.

Months and months ago I and others have posted our observation that it is feckless to maintain a border policy only at airports. We are vulnerable to WMD strike in the homeland. How difficult would it be to smuggle swarthy terrorists across the Mexican border carrying a few mason jars of virus hidden among the nightly flow of incomming wetbacks?

Apart from a token increase along the borders, Bush has ignored this threat for no justifiable reason, in fact, the only reason I can identify for his willful failure to sustain his oath of office and see that the laws are faithfully executed is a calculation involving the Hispanic vote.

I did not say that I would vote for Kerry, I have only observed the truth of the matter, if true, Bush DESERVES to lose.
