I'm sure that this argument has gone on for quite some time on this thread, and frankly, I'm not even going to read it, but Sinkspur, you have to admit that even if not intended, the phrase "social justice" has become a modernist codeword.

I actually heard it during the intentions at a recent Mass where the lecter implored us to pray for "Social justice and a more even distribution of wealth."

"I actually heard it during the intentions at a recent Mass where the lecter implored us to pray for "Social justice and a more even distribution of wealth..."

I wonder where they get such ideas.

This is a fun one:

January 2004: "That all men and women may recognize that they are members of God's one family and end wars, injustice and discrimination among themselves."

Or this one:

October 2004: "That, firm in their faith, Christians may be eager to dialogue with those who belong to another religious tradition."

Not one intention for the salvation of souls. Not one.

Compare and contrast.

"Social Justice" is a broad term, as has been said often in this thread.

The fact that it has misappropriated by one group or another is no reason to condemn the term, in general.

The object of the sedevacantist writer who penned this article is to ridicule certain terms that are used more often in the last 30 years. Most all of the ridicule is silly, such as poking at the term "process", which is a perfectly acceptable term, and is used extensively in business. I don't hear it used that much in Church circles.

Like all trad threads, the purpose of this one is ridicule.

We see the Pope ridiculed, Vatican II ridiculed, Cardinal Ratzinger ridiculed...nobody alive who says the Mass of Paul VI or works in the Church is exempt from the petty, school-girl tee-heeing of the trads.

The more you defend it, the more of it you will get.

The fallacious premise is that Gummint can do what PERSONAL CHARITY should have done in the first place.
