This won't go away. I and most Californians loved hearing that they were doing illegal round ups and sending them home.
It keeps the illegals off the street more that are here and gives some fear to illegals that would think of coming here.
The flow of illegals were being affected by the sweeps and it was the liberals and Mexicans who stopped the sweeps.
They need to do the job and Asa sounded like he should have stared in the movie Dodge Ball.
Maybe Asa should step down or the President himself may need to grow a bigger set of nuts for this issue.
Maybe I should manufacture INS T-shirts for the public in California to wear that are not of any official color or style like the actual border patrol. Just good enough to spook all the illegals if they see them on people walking around.

Funny, I've had that same thought many times. GMTA. BTW, were the streets a lot deader in your area for the three weeks those "sweeps" were going on? They sure were in our part of SoCal.
Hmmmm, I literally just heard a report on our local news that border agents just rounded up 30 illegals in a safehouse here in Tucson. Frankly I'm sick and tired of the whining coming from Californians as if they're
a) the only ones affected
and
b) as if nobody else knows what's going on.
Give me a break. I've posted before about the ongoing activities I hear and see everyday dealing with the problem and some here just want to ignore it and claim "nothing" is being done or people aren't doing their jobs. B.S.
