Many many thanks for the good prayers, warm vibes, crossed digitsand coughing up of smoke, joss and Good Thoughts for me yesterday.
Here is where it stands:
I have a Good Offer on teh Old House, which we countered only a little, and they accepted our counter.
We signed The Deal.
Beauty part is we have a BACK-UP offer on the place.
In theory at least closing is to take place before 15 December.
Now the clock starts ticking, and all I can hope is that these buyers have theri financing in order.

Congratulations! It's great that you have a back-up offer, too, just in case something happens. When we sold our house in Oklahoma, we were able to negotiate from strength with the buyer because we had two other buyers interested. After our first counter, we said, "No more negotiating - take it, or walk away!"
