People argue. The have different view points. That is ok but somehow the anti-everything crowd got the idea that they are the anointed holy ones and those who dissent are evil blasphemers.
Does "I don't agree with that point of view and here is why" really merit such venom?
And now I have gotten far to serious.
There was one situation this? last? year where one of the creeps came over to our corner and got pretty foul. Things were heating up quite a bit when one of the policemen stepped in and suggested we cool it. At that point I realized how worked up I was getting, unawares (I was already pretty stressed out) -- and I decided at that point I'm better off staying away from such situations. Temptation, get thee behind me.
Yah...I feel that way at times...expecially when I am exposed to terminal stupidity.
;-)
"LOL. Well, I got around their screens and left messages (polite) with some of their party officials. They were a little surprised... *\;-)"
Good for you!
"They can't stand to be called on their arguments.

Hey...we have to do that once in a while, and here is just as good a place as any to "vent"!
Sounds like the DNC to me, baby!
Sure does!
Unmistakably!
:-)
Happy Thanksgiving everyone BTW. what's for dinner tommorow?
"Happy Thanksgiving everyone BTW. what's for dinner tommorow?"
Happy Thanksgiving to you!
(Leftovers!)
In that case I'll stay home. My moms mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, pumpkin and apple pie, cranberry sauce, rolls, and sweet potatoes will have to do I guess. (mouth watering)
Stupidity I can deal with. When it's terminal I can only pray for his immortal soul and hope he avoids a Darwin award in the process.
What I find hard to deal with is willful ignorance, dishonesty, and unfairness.

Awwww...poor guy! I sure hate to think you'll be suffering though second helpings! I'll be here if you get bored with all that food...*snort!*
You're lucky... but I've suddenly forgotten where you're headed -- if it's AZ, don't expect things to be good there.

And they usually go hand-in-hand with stupidity. I think my late husband would call people like that "educated idiots," because the things they learned were not things that would help them function in society.
By the way is anyone on the thread fluent in possibly adult chat speak? I am in need of a translator.
LOL! Don't know how we're going to deal with the turkey, given that we want to do it in the Weber (not only tradition, but we've had enough "Thanksgiving Day storms" with complete power loss that it's the wise thing to do) but we now have an 11 A.M. Mass to attend while it should be cooking.

It IS AZ, and I know that the state is rather divided. But I'm not going there for the politics...just the climate. I have to do what I can where I live to educate my neighbors about lies and dishonesty.
I've always tried to do that, and I would hope that on a few occasions, I have been successful. *I hope!*
I have a smattering of knowledge about it...want to FReepmail me? Or can you ask in open forum?
The best turkey I ever did I covered in mayonnaise, wrapped it in foil, and put it breast-side down in a BBQ pit for 8 hours...
Turning it "upside-down" allows the juices to drain naturally to the breast instead of the back...YUMMY!
Pumpkin pie and raspberry lemon cheese cake for desert.
