While former South African President Nelson Mandela, 85, scoffs at rumors of ill health, plans are being made by the nation's Communist Party to slaughter all whites in the country upon his death, G2B sources say.
One of the operations planned entails 70,000 armed black men "being transported to the Johannesburg city center within an hour" in taxicabs to attack whites.
The plans are variously dubbed "Operation Vula," "Night of the Long Knives," "Operation White Clean-up," "Operation Iron Eagle" and "Red October campaign."
Operation "Our Rainy Day" was to be carried out after the death of Nelson Mandela and would have entailed blacks being transported to the largest cities in taxis.
The assailants were expected to "take over" fuel points and massacre whites. The attacks would lead to a coup.
Sources say most blacks in the country are aware of the plans. When racial disputes occur, blacks often tell whites, "Wait until Mandela dies.
"White people in South Africa can deny it to the end of the earth, but we are in real danger," one resident said. "This is no joke and any person with half a brain can see that this rumor has spiraled out of control."
Many whites are now convinced a vicious campaign of ethnic cleansing will follow Mandela's death whenever it comes. Some are making preparations for retreats.
"I have prepared myself and we have a gathering place where we can fortify for four weeks after Mandelas death," said one white South African. "If nothing happens it will be a miracle."
The Red October campaign is allegedly a Communist plot to oust President Thabo Mbeki. Mbeki would be replaced by Cyril Ramaphosa.
"I was starting to think I was going nuts!" said another white South Africa resident. "'Operation Uhuru' or 'Operation White Clean-up' is definitely no rumor. I spoke to someone who told me that some blacks in Zimbabwe have also confirmed that this 'event' will take place. My cousin stays on a farm in Mpumalanga, not too far from Johannesburg. A black police officer in that district told his white colleague that they are going to kill us like flies, and there is nothing we can do about it. And that they also don't care if we know."
Meanwhile, Mandela, obviously aware of the growing rumors, last week assured the public he is well.
"My health is all right," he told reporters in Cape Town. "I'm doing very well. Others have gone further and said I am on the eve of going to my grave. If that day comes, I will go and knock at the door of heaven. ... They will look at the list and say: 'Your name is not here ... can you try next door?'"
Concern about Mandela's health surfaced last month when he canceled a scheduled meeting with visiting German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder. The former president was at the time relaxing on the Indian Ocean island of Mauritius.
Mandela joked that when his time comes, "I will look for a branch of the ANC (the ruling African National Congress) in that world (and) I'll join it."

Have you actually read my replies ? It would appear not.
To: nopardons
I've only read your abrasive replies to me. I don't care to read your other posts. I don't care what cowards think, or say, and I pay them no attention. When the slaughter does finally happen-- I hope it weighs heavily on your mind, and causes you many restless nights!
To: Destructor
You claim that you work and don't have time to read every post on every thread. I didn't ask you to do that, I didn't say that you should that, you asked me questions, I answered them, and you chose to ignore them.Instead, you've spent hour after hour doing nothing but post personal attack after personal attack and prove just how little you know about this topic, me,and just what a violent, crass, sick person you are.
This article is bogus.
I'm an American, born and bred and my family has been here for more than 1/2 of the time America's been a nation. And, they didn't come here from South Africa, but that's my direct bloodline. My extended family IS South African. They are neither cowards nor stupid, unlike you.
I'm not a man and you're not much of one.
If and when members of my family are murdered, I hope it weighs heavily on your soul, that you wished death on my little great niece and nephew, their parents, other relatives and friends whom you do not know.
To: nopardons
I should have known. That explains your blind emotional reaction.
I don't wish death on your family. What I've been trying to say all along is that the slaughter of whites in South Africa is inevitable. Like it , or not that is fact. Getting mad at me won't change that fact.
The eventual death of your family over there is a given, unless you either talk them into leaving, or help them to leave. It's up to you.
To: Destructor
Your posts have been far more emotional than mine.
Only an American CITIZEN, blood relative( my s-i-l isn't a citizen yet, b ut he's working on it) can sponsor family members, and the emigrants still have to get the visas;which is virtually impossible! And yes, we ARE paying for their visa lottery tickets. What do you want me to do.........fly them to Mexico and hire a coyote to smuggle 50 people,or so into America? You want to pay for that? You want me and my daughter & s-i-l to house and support them all?
Some people I knew were murdered on 9/11......should I leave America, because we are still under threat from the terrorists ? That's the kind of logic you're using about white South Africans. No, I take that back.........the white South Africans I know, haves far less of a chance of being murdered by blacks, than you and I have of being hit by another terrorist attack on American soil! THE ARTICLE, WHICH HEADS THIS THREAD, IS A FRAUD, A PACK OF LIES, BOGUS;A SCARE MONGERING PIECE OF GARBAGE!
To: nopardons
I wish you the best of luck in getting your relatives out of South Africa. I hope that at some point you will begin to grasp the reality of the situation.
To: Destructor
Thank you for your kind wishes.
I hope that sometime soon, YOU are finally able to comprehend the situation there. It would help you and others to listen to the people who KNOW what it is like, than to fall for articles, such as this one, that are false.
To: nopardons
You are continually denying that white South Africans are in peril. If looking at the situation through rose colored glasses helps you to deal with it, then you're just fooling yourself.
To: Destructor
When was the last time you were in South Africa?
HAVE YOU EVER BEEN IN SOUTH AFRICA ? When was the last time you spoke with someone living in South Africa on the phone ? HAVE YOU EVEN EVER SPOKEN WITH SOMEONE WHO LIVES THERE?
I don't wear rose colored glasses;but YOU are in no need of glasses of any kind..........since you are blind!
I give you facts ; in turn, you hand out insults, death wishes,ad hominem, and erroneous codswallop based on absolutely nothing but one rubbish article.
It is because of people like you, that people who live in South Africa and/or know the region well, haves stopped posts to FR.
Drowning in stupidity, only looking for a fight, you indulge, childishly, in a disgraceful flame war.Does it make you feel like a BIG man, to heap calumny on those you don't knows, on a topic you know less about? You add less than nothing, you post no facts, and since you feel the need go have the last word.........have at it. Everyone with eyes can see what you have done and are still doing. I need not add another word.
To: nopardons
I call 'em like I see 'em, Lady. Deal with it.

Hi, first time poster. I am a South African Afrikaner, so here goes from the horses mouth, based on personal experience. I left SA 4 years ago, but my whole family still lives there, and we are in daily contact. The article above has some merit in that there has been a large number of attacks on white farmers, leading to around 5% of them being murdered to date. There is no proof that this is organised in any way. Some of the article repeats what was widely communicated in the early nineties, when I was in the SA Defence Force. Operation Vula was a known threat, and there were plans made against that sort of attack, by the government of the day. After the transition, I worked with senior officials in the ANC, and there was no indication that any such plans survived the election. 10 years down the line such an action would not serve any purpose, and also, the average South African, white or black, simply have no wish for war. There is a lot of crime, and other threats to the stability of the country, but the fullscale slaughter of whites is unlikely to be one of them. I can see that there is a lot of questions about SA, I will try and help where I can.

It's not a Commonwealth...it's a process. In America one has to work toward wealth...one has to stand on his own two feet...one has to provide for self and family...one has to be independent and self reliant.
Regretably some who deny the process are dependants of state stuck in a quagmire laiden with poverty and violence.
Solution: Engage the process to escape the poverty and violence.

I have a question. If indeed you are truly who you say you are, perhaps you can provide a reasonable response.
My question is, is Mandela the hero he is portrayed to be?

Oh my goodness, that is a difficult question, and I can only answer from my personal perspective. Mandela was convicted of treason, and plotting violent acts. At the time of his conviction, he was not the leader of the ANC, but the ranking official of Umkhonto we Sizwe (Spear of the Nation), the military wing of the ANC. Many other leaders of the ANC fled the country, while he was caught, convicted and sentenced to life in prison. As the anti-apartheid movement gained strength, he became the figurehead for the movement, unyil he was freed from prison. While he was in prison, his contribution was not much more than being the name on the anti-apartheid bumper stickers and banners. After being freed, he was appointed president of the ANC, and was part of the negotiations that led to the first elections. There was great fear among whites of large-scale retribution from the ANC led masses after the general election, when the police and military power would pass to the ANC. Mandela, as is widely believed, was the one that promoted unity, and prevented that, by talking about unity, forgetting about the past and going forward, supporting mostly white sports teams like the SA rugby and cricket teams etc. Now, is anything heroic in there in your opinion? I guess that depends on perspective, and how you define hero. He was somewhat of a statesman, in that what he said was what everyone wanted to hear at the time. He certainly did not seem to bear a grudge against the Afrikaners, and this is why you hear that he needs to be out of the way before the whites can be finished off. I can carry on forever about this...now, my personal opinion is that he was no great hero as a military man, getting caught before he could execute any attacks. As a president, he created an environment in SA of wanting to please all the people all the time, and that left us with somewhat of a mess. I do respect the fact that he did not exact a direct revenge on the Afrikaners, and that may be the only thing about him that ever impressed me.

Thanks
The continent of Africa is rather large. South Africa, seems small compared to the rest of the continent. SA was one of the most successful nations on the entire continent. So, SA was developed and civilized by whom? Afrikaners?
Now that the job is done come some folks to claim the harvest right?
What is their claim here? It was ours and they took it from us? Or seeing the wealth, did they come to squat along it's borders to demand a "right" to participate in a haven carved from the jungle?
Seems to me that the continent of Africa is large enough to host a few whites to have a place of their own to rule themselves. But I guess I am mistaken.

You seem to have a knack for touching on the contentious issues :-). As with anything related to South Africa, there is no simple answer. SA developed over the course of almost 400 years, and did so because the resources were used well. The profitable use of SA's resources was due to expertise and initiatives from the British occupiers in the early part of the last century, and further developed by the National Party (Afrikaner) government after WWII. Having said that, the labour came from local blacks, without whom it would have been difficult to earn the capital to build SA's infrastructure. One of the claims since the early part of the century, when the ANC was founded is that it was "ours", and they took it from us during the periods of colonialism and later on apartheid. While there was some unfair displacement of people, few white and many black during apartheid, how far back do you need to go to establish a right to ownership? My family has been in South Africa for 350 years, and paid for every bit of land and business we ever owned. My forefathers are also buried in African soil, which we legally owned long before colonialism and apartheid. I don't claim that to be mine, yet forefather graves seem to be a qualifying statement if you are a black African looking for land. There is also thruth in your second statement, in that there was, and still is an influx of unwanted immigrants from other parts of Africa, that wants to share in the prosperity which adds fuel to the fire. You are seeing a little bit of the same phenomenon with the influx of illegal immigrants into the USA. The third thing, which you did not mention, is that the black population outgrew the whites, creating a massive majority. During the Boer war, many thousands of Afrikaners died in British concentration capms, setting back our own population growth by a couple of generations. That, coupled with the other two factors, means that under western standards of democracy, blacks have to rule the country. I will state, for the record here, that I believe apartheid was wrong, and cannot be justified. I also believe that the solution that replaced it is also not the best for all of SA's people. With the end of apartheid, there were some Afrikaners that tried to get a movement going to retain an area of SA for self-rule. This never gained momentum because the majority of whites just could not be bothered, or believed the promises by De Klerk and Mandela that the constitution will protect minority rights, so an Afrikaner territory is not needed, so it never reached critical mass. South Africa is a resource-rich, beautiful country, it's heartbreaking to see the slow decay and mismanagement of that wealth. There is enough space and wealth for everyone, but the political will did not, and still does not exist to share that with all of SA's people.

I recommend a book called Concise History of South Africa.
