Well it sounds like turn about is fair play on the Euro-domineering culture down there. When will the Europeans learn that take over, and control have never been answers to leadership.
Unfortunately todays descedents in S.A. Have only their ancestors to blame.

Sorry, Courtney, but your message comes across as gibberish. I don't understand your point.
South Africa's original natives, Bushmen, Hottentots, and San, are long gone from that region. The Hottentots are mostly extinct. A few Bushmen and San still live in the Kalahari Desert and in other spots. This is the partly the fault of white settlers, who arrived there in 1652, and partly the fault of the Xhosa and Zulu tribes, who ravaged the area during the 19th century. Of those who live in the southernmost part of South Africa, the Boers and English pre-date the "native" Xhosa and Zulu by centuries. To whom, then should the land belong? The white settlers who built cities and farms and a civlization there, or the blacks who migrated there much later?
To claim that Africa is a "black" continent is also nonsense. Most of northern Africa's peoples are Semites who, until recent times, were considered Caucasion.
It's an intractable problem, but not unsolvable, with time and just laws and fair treatment. If people on both sides, though, continue to stoke the fires of racial hatred, I don't doubt that they will have their own holocaust in this century.

So now Africa is ready to stand up for herself, and fight for a town, fight for freedom, fight back for their rights, just as we did in the Revolutionary War. May God bless their endeavers, and may an Equality Peace Treaty form between those born their, and those that inherited that land from their great-grand fathers!

I do apologize if I'm not making any sense,,, sigh,, this is a problem on my part of losing track of my thoughts. Personally, I detest racism. On the other hand, it still upsets me to think how, Maybe, a land is taken over without any due respect to the original citizens.

"My health is all right," he told reporters in Cape Town. "I'm doing very well. Others have gone further and said I am on the eve of going to my grave. If that day comes, I will go and knock at the door of heaven. ... They will look at the list and say: 'Your name is not here ... can you try next door?'" How twisted. Probably accurate too.

Its time to leave.......... but they won't. I do not know how it is now, but before 92, if you were white and not eligible for a British or Irish passport, no country would take you. You had to stay.

To claim that Africa is a "black" continent is also nonsense. Most of northern Africa's peoples are Semites who, until recent times, were considered Caucasian. Are you saying that the former inhabitants of South Africa were also Semites?
I do realize that not all of Africa is of a dark skinned nature, and I also believe there's no difference between us and them because of our skin.
So was South Africa predominantly English origin even back in the 1600's. Was this uninhabited land, just like the 13 colonies?
Or was this lightly inhabited land, like the Islands Columbus discovered, and later other explorers took over.

Then you must feel like a hypocrite, living in America.

South Africa was lightly inhabited, as mentioned, by Bushmen (San) and Hottentots. If you've ever seen the movie "The Gods Must be Crazy", the star was San.
They'd been there for hundreds of thousands of years, and in fact the San may well be the original human population from which all others developed. They're somewhat dark-skinned but not very dark, and their facial features are "in between" all the other races.
At roughly the same time, in the 1600s, Dutch settlers turned up in the South, and (very Dark-skinned) Bantu Black Africans, who had been expanding in Africa, turned up in the North. Between them they wiped out the Hottentots over time and reduced the Bushmen population, then they ran into each other and began fighting.
Genetically the Bantu Blacks are barely more closely related to the San, really, than Whites are. This is true of much of Africa; Swedes and Greeks are much more closely related to each other genetically than one black tribe in Africa is genetically related to the tribe just down the road.

> They said that a single shot shotgun is all that will be allowed. Does this sound familiar?
A necessary precondition for genocide.

Is it just me, or does this smell like an urban legend?

May I point out a few things to you:
1) you are clueless ... I mean this in the nicest possible way.
2)The whites have been there as long as we have been in America.
3)The original people no longer live there and the current blacks came after the whites.
4) It's racism on YOUR part to say the land belongs to the newcomer black simply because it is in Africa.
5) A South African once told me they would have no problem now if they had treated the black man the way Americans treated the Indians.

In some ways I do. I appreciate my rights, but I don't appreciate what our founding fathers let happen to the Cherokee Nation. A people that really tried to help us, and were continually taken away from.
I'm an American by birth, but by heart, I'm human. And in no way is it right to overtake another mans land through blood, sweat, and beads.
Granted, I have no clue how South Africa became segregated. I only know that it is. And because of that knowledge, I wonder how it became that way. And is any segregation right - anywhere?
All I'm saying about the article is, if they feel obligated to gain back dignity, and freedom, they should have Gods blessing. If it is over a racial discrimination, then they won't.

Killing innocents will never return dignity OR freedom, irregardless of what sort of Clymers their ancestors were.
Anyone who can't see that for the obvious truth is, frankly, a Clymer.
To: HoustonCurmudgeon
So, I may be somewhat clueless, I'm going by what I currently know.
So the original people weren't segregated? The segregation is from more recent inhabitants?

Killing innocents will never return dignity or Freedom. Is there a decent enough government there? Do they listen to the difference of opinion?
Why is there segregation there?
