How is your cold? Just a cold? Or are you getting that nasty bug we have been sharing?

Dad was a great believer in the fact that if you just told little kids to wait a little longer before getting to the rest rooms, little kids could do that...Yep! Also, it just wasn't "right" to stop at a gas station to use the restroom without buyin some gas.
Nowdays, I never pass up the opportunity to stop.
Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go...

LOL. When those photos appeared in the news, they reminded me so much of "The Trip."

...even had a close encounter (with a crab) in the Gulf...Brother Don had a close encounter with a black snake while sittin' there reading a comic book. Comic book flew one direction and Don the other. Snakes belong behind the glass in a zoo. Crabs on the dinner table.

Morning, Dave! Posted and ran last night at midnight so you might get more time here. :)
So glad you are pleased with the surprise graphic. I remembered the three pictures you sent a few months ago of Logan (and one with both of them) with those little flags, and thought it would be a great way to end the post, as well as a fantastic pledge graphic.

Hi, Lib! We should post the new thread this early more often - get to see you here! Thanks for 'enjoying' the trip with us.
I love your trip song, too (The Happy Wanderer) - now it's going through my head as I sit here!

LOL! You forgot 'walking 5 miles to school, rain or shine, holes in your shoes and patches on your coat. :)
Hi, Dan - it isn't easy for me to 'be up and HERE so late/early! You'll notice I didn't stay around long! LOL

...and traveling in cars singing... ..."Choir director" Helen would have loved this thread. She auditioned for the heavenly voices choir three years ago and is now singing with the Angels of Glory.

Good morning, Gail. Loved your story of your time with your grandparents and going with them on vacations. My sister and I used to spend part of the summer with our grandparents on their 'farm' - loved going to the orchard and picking fruit for Grandma to make yummy pies or fruit salad.

Great story Dave. Once again your graphics are the greatest Billie. What a great memory to have and how fortunate you were to have been able to see so much at a young age. Too many never venture far beyond their own county line even today and it's a shame because there is so much to see out there. Good looking grandsons you have there too, bet you're a proud Grandpa.
