Republican political strategist Rick Wilson has become one of the avatars of the “Never Trump” movement on cable news telecasts. And on August 21, via the Simon and Schuster Free Press imprint, Wilson will have a book to plug during his frequent TV hits. “Everything Trump Touches Dies is my take on the damage Donald Trump has done to our nation, our politics, and our sanity. I pull no punches, take no prisoners, and show how Donald Trump has led Republicans off a political cliff, broken our institutions, and shattered the lives and reputations of everyone around him,” Wilson wrote...

Republican strategist Steve Schmidt tore into Donald Trump while appearing on MSNBC today — calling the president an “imbecile” for his trade wars and adding that he has “no idea what he’s talking about.” As news circulated this morning that the stock market dropped dramatically after China responded to Trump’s tariffs with trade restrictions of their own, the president denied that there is a “trade war” happening, despite all evidence pointing to the opposite being true. Schmidt noted this while discussing the issue with a fired-up Stephanie Ruhle this morning:

I buy almost all my food at the farmer's market and I am fortunate that I live near several different weekend markets. One reason I do this is that I like to support small businesses like farms. Another is that I care about where my food comes from and how, in the case of meat, it is treated and fed. Factory farming is a nightmare. My farmer's markets also accept WIC so anyone can come by and purchase fresh vegetables, herbs, fruit or more importantly: bacon. I gave out bacon from my pig farmer to my friends for Christmas because...

If you read the New York Times and Washington Post, or watch MSNBC and CNN, you would think President-elect Trump brought segregation-era George Wallace back from the dead and appointed him to be the nation’s chief law enforcement officer. (In reality, Sessions campaigned against Wallace as a college Republican, but that’s a story for another time.) read at http://resistancefeed.com/2016/11/21/sessions-broke-back-kkk-alabama-media-think-hes-racist/

If you buy into the notion that carbon dioxide, the food for plants that feed us and the animals we use for meat, is poison, then this notion from hysterical “climate researchers” in the United Kingdom might make sense. If you think about, there are not many who can give up football because of the recent protest. America has few real patriots anymore. Yes I am talking to you. To take a stand about anything that happens in this crazy backwards world is only for the few and faithful. The rest of you are just all talk. and that is how we got here today.....

Bernie Sanders offers a real solution that the current condidates wont have. Bernie Sanders would first of all return tax levels to the way they were in the 1950s, tax the rich 90% and use the massive massive massive surplus from that tax to create jobs for the unemployed. One trillion should be paid for rebuilding infrastructure and bridges and creating jobs. Another trillion will be used to create new healthcare opertunety for workers to earn doctors degrees and to heal the sick and poor. Bernie sanders will also create government funded industries and factories that will create paying jobs...

What's in an oath? That fascinating question arose as part of a crusade by Rowan County, Kentucky, Clerk Kim Davis to seek a religious exemption from issuing marriage licenses to gay couples. Before the U.S. Supreme Court put the kibosh on her claim, Davis in her legal brief argued that she understood her oath of office "to mean that, in upholding the federal and state constitutions and laws, she would not act in contradiction to the moral law of God." Why? Because her oath included the words, "So help me God." Of course, the oath of office prescribed by the...

Who doesn’t love Bill O’Reilly? He’s witty, charming, sarcastic, and has just a little bit of that pompousness that makes the guy borderline adorable, in a non-homo kind of way. He also tells-it-like-it-is, and he’s pretty darn good at it. Unfortunately, these characteristics are not fully appreciated by State Department spokesperson Marie Barf Harf, who has been taking every opportunity she can to throw the conservative powerhouse under the bus for criticizing one of her female colleagues, a move she labeled “sexist.” Of course, it’s pretty dang hard to take any claim of “sexism” or “racism” serious from a liberal,...

That's right I mean Jimmy Carter. How is that possible, well that's where our little history lesson begins.... The United States in an effort to stop Russia from reaching a port in the Middle East (via an Afghanistan invasion) decided to aim it's intelligence agency right at that region. Worried what might happen to the Arab Peninsula if the Russians succeeded in their invasion the Saudis Funded the Afghan freedom fighters.

Israel receives military and financial assistance, and also some diplomatic support at the United Nations, but the US puts pressure on Israel to surrender parts of the homeland... It seems to me a Ron Paul presidency would be good for Israel and for the United States. Its foreign policy non-interventionism and its concern to protect national sovereignty would provide Israel with a greater impetus to increase its own independence and sense of national honor. I hope American Zionists will resist the immediate, meretricious attractions of American financial assistance for Israel. Ron Paul would both end this infantilizing, and even corrupting,...

Pollgasm: Joint Session Reaction CNN poll:The numbers: 68% of viewers said they had a positive reaction, compared to 24% negative. And an astonishing 85% said the speech made them feel more optimistic about the direction the country is headed in (though granted, feeling more optimistic than before might be a low bar), and only 11% said it made them more negative. And 82% of speech-watchers say they support Obama's economic plans as outlined in the speech, with only 17% against. The positive reaction numbers, as CNN warns, are fairly typical of initial joint session speeches. But the economic numbers?...

I'm new here and hoping you can help me. I have a friend who told me that I should take McCain's speech last night to heart . . . that I should be positive, trust my country, and support our new president. Does this advice reflect true conservative values? What should I tell him?
