When House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday he wasn’t ready to support Donald Trump, the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party, his Wisconsin primary opponent saw an opening. Following the Trump campaign’s lash-out on Friday, Paul Nehlen seized that opening, suggesting he will do what Ryan won't: support Trump.

The wife of a DEA employee died two days after being shot in an apparently random drive-by shooting while she and her family were driving home to Illinois from Wisconsin Dells. Authorities believe the suspect had killed someone else just hours earlier in Milwaukee. Tracy Czaczkowski, 44, was heading home with her husband and children on a Wisconsin highway Sunday when she was shot in the neck by 20-year-old Zachary Hays, who was driving a Chevrolet Blazer. A rare blood infection is claiming lives, and the CDC can't pinpoint the source. The infection, caused by the Elizabethkingia anophelis bacteria, has killed 17 people in Wisconsin since November and just claimed a life in Michigan, the Detroit News reports. A survey of African-American and Latino communities found most believe addressing gun violence can lead to improved police-community relations and reduced rates of incarceration, according to a new report.
