Former advisor to President Trump, Stephen K. Bannon, has filed a motion to the U.S. district court in order for documents related to his contempt of Congress case to be released publicly. The motion was filed in opposition to the court’s protective order for discovery, which currently prevents both the defense and prosecution from releasing evidence or documents to the public. CNN legal analyst Norm Eisen, who served as a counsel for House Judiciary Committee Democrats during former President Donald Trump’s first impeachment, said Monday on “Newsroom” that pro-Trump allies who gathered at the Willard Hotel on January 6 “were getting ready for a war.” Eisen said, “The committee is pursuing a mosaic of evidence. All the different bits of evidence, large and small that can tell the story of what happened on January 6, the insurrection and the run-up to the insurrection.”

A meeting of pro-Trump women by a group called Women for America First was disrupted and attendees harassed and attacked at the Willard Hotel in Washington, D.C. Friday night, according to reports. Jonathan Gilliam, a former Navy SEAL, was in attendance and tried to shield the women. Gilliam was attacked and reportedly wounded. There is a claim that one arrest was made. Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) appeared on Fox News’ “Hannity” this week to discuss the origins of the Steele dossier. He said it should really be called the “Simpson” dossier.
