Newly released photos offer a rare glimpse into the abandoned demilitarized zone between North and South Korea, revealing rare wildlife and plant life flourishing in the space largely untouched by humans. Endangered animals and unique flora are thriving in the 160-mile-long strip of border land that has been largely deserted by humans for decades. A total of 6,168 wildlife species have created a home in the DMZ area, where landmines buried underground are a reminder of the Korean War that ended in armistice some 70 years ago.

Remember “weaselpecker,” that hard-to-believe photo of a weasel riding a bird, Rescuers-style? Those types of animal interactions go viral because they seem rare to us. Yet the phenomena of species riding other species isn’t actually that unusual. In 2004 and 2006, researchers documented two instances of a humpback whale (Megaptera novaeangliae) giving a lift to a bottlenose dolphin (Tursiops truncatus) near Hawaii... Here are some other instances of animal-on-animal action...

Heather Alter, Gerecke's daughter, said her father did not deserve to be executed. 'I want to address the parents of these animals,' she added. 'Where were you? Why did you let your children run the streets at...

The great White Hunter has a question he needs answered. His father sent him these pictures and told him that the owner of the dog came home to find that a fawn was laying on his couch next to his dog. They figure that the fawn followed the dog into the house through the doggy door and just made himself at home by getting up on the couch to take a nap with the dog. The Great White Hunter wants to know if the story related to him by his father is true. If it is true, then he would...

Wary customers at North Valley grocery stores keep a watchful eye after several shoppers were recently threatened by three brazen coyotes. The animals were killed after they were trying to snatch white grocery bags from customers at a Fry's supermarket at Tatum Road and Cave Creek Road. "Coyotes are very smart animals," said Kriselle Colvin with Arizona Game & Fish. "Once they know where food source is, they know white bags have food in them, so they'll go up and grab them," Colvin said. One of the biggest reasons for the problem is well-meaning people feeding them, Colvin said. In...
